His plan seemed simply. Leave her with terrible people, save her later. Littlefinger is just a creepy stalker that couldn't pass up the chance to screw Ned over.

But he left her there, so clearly she wouldn't be too happy about the arranged marrage.

We could simply realize that the writers aren't skilled enough to write a compelling littlefinger arc, that would work.

Also, not really sure why Jon is so hostile towards Littlefinger. Sure Sansa said never to fully trust him, but he did also save them... That doesn't really make a whole lot of sense given what we know of the characters.

Jon knows a snake. Unlike Ned, Jon didn't grow up with Littlefinger and only knows him as a political backstabber and old dude who wants to bone Sansa.

Littlefinger got to his position because he is a clever man, simply pretending now that he isn't after all is just bad writing.
It's ok to give him a weakness through Sansa, but i still don't see how it adds up tbh. In my eyes littlefinger's actions after he got power in the vale were nonsense for the sake of getting sansa somehow to ramsay. The big picture makes no sense whatsoever.

Super awesome nonsense theory I just came up with:

+ Show Spoiler +
The little discussion between Dany and Mel as to the genderless word in the the Azhor Ahai prophecy is actually an allusion to the fact that Theon is the prince who was promised

Brandon stole his girl btw, not Ned. Jon Arryn gave Cat to Ned after Brandon died, it was Brandon who humiliated Littlefinger.

It has been a very long time since I dug into these. I seem to remember Ned somehow being involved with all of that, but maybe just as Brandon's brother.

Where was Yara's fleet going, again? I was under the impression they were meant to deliver the unsullied to a location from which to march onto Casterly Rock, which would imply they are now all at the bottom of Blackwater Bay. Clearly that's not the case, so... what did I miss?

Yara's job was to sail to Dorne with Ellaria and come back with Dornish soldiers. Other part of her fleet with Grey Worm on the deck probably teleported safely to Lannisport.

Not that important of a character now that Daenerys is in Westeros now, i dont see him doing anything but sacrificing himself saving her against a white walker or something

Oh yea, and one more thing, I find it very annoying in the beginning: "previously on game of thrones" reminder, it's like majority of people who watch it short on memory

FTFY. I like him, but he really never felt al that relevant to me.

I guess I am not deep enough to be unsatisfied with the season so far, because I think it was fun. I was afraid that we will be getting mostly glorious battles, which isn't happening except for the boat nonsense, so it's been good so far.

What I like the most is the conversation bombs people drop. I mean, if you just watched the last episode with no prior knowledge, it would be pretty boring, but with all what has happened, almost every dialoge is full of brutal references. Dany vs. Varys was particularly great.

I am also really digging Arya - the frey killing thing was a little overblown, but her behavior otherwise is perfect, she is badass but in a relatable way, it's a balance that is incredibly hard to strike.

The only thing I don't get is the reasoning behind so little episodes. It's literally the most successful series ever, so it can't be about money ... I'd watch this shit for years.

I had a brainfart and forgot Joffrey :D Spent all that time trying to think of Bronn's name

And yeah, thought Grey Worm and Missandei had gotten more screentime than Daario. Interesting. Also that Ygritte is in there. And Gilly. Was this from before season 6?

So yeah, the whole greyworm melissandre shtick means the poor guy's going to eat her all night long and that's about it.

Yeah but that is book canon, we are not sure when it comes to the show

That's what I refuse to buy. HBO is a huge corporation, whatever the battles may cost is probably still peanuts for them. Also, why they don't add non-battle stuff? There is obviously a lot of shortcutting in plain dialogue ... We're not talking about "oh gosh, why was Firefly cancelled", but literally the biggest cable TV hit in the history here.
