There's an 'angry driver' listed on the imdb page. Also I think the writers have previously said they wouldn't do the whole 'cody and astor also have a dark passenger thing' the author of the books did. They could've been lying obviously. I think that's a really dumb direction to follow. Dont see how this would be a dumb idea or direction to follow... -_- + Show Spoiler +I meant the kids part not the Rita part. Rita dying would suck 'cause she's pretty hot but it could lead to some interesting storylines. For me it would be pretty unrealistic if Cody (and/or Astor) began showing signs of a dark passenger. Even if they witnessed something horrific, not all people react the same way and become serial killers. And so far they seem pretty normal children. I think Dexter became a serial killer not only because of the murder of his mother but also some innate quality. I know Dexter is not the most realistic series but this would be a little too much for me to believe. + Show Spoiler +i dono about realistic, but that would make it a little too disturbing to me if those cute kids were to suffer seeing something like rita dead in a bloody bathtub and began being serial killers too. i don't think or at least i hope that's not the direction they're willing to go. there's been a lot of signs of dexter trying to grow up and become less evil. i can see how involving dexter's family and making dexter fight to defend his family could be an interesting angle him being a serial killer and all, but that may destroy all progress dexter has made and make him lose the innocence of his family that's been important to him.
+ Show Spoiler +I agree, it would undo a lot of things. Like I've said before, I don't mind his growth as a person, I just hope the writers won't take it too far and at the end of the series he would no longer need to kill. and i was under the impression that dexter was a normal kid before the container incident
I meant that not all children become serial killers after they see some horrific stuff, so there would have to be something there already. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't have been a normal person. I hope the picture of Laura Moser Dexter didn't shred, won't come back to haunt him. Pretty obvious it will, but that would be an incredibly lame way for Deb to find out about Dexter's past.

HOOOOLY SHIT!
+ Show Spoiler +Season is getting so strong. The preview for the next episode looks totally crazy too, like shit's on the verge of going fucking down.
What the fuck could be the "biggest twist?" It's hard for me to even speculate. They explained the Arthur / reporter relationship, they have the reporter in custody, Arthur and Dexter have laid it all on the line and it's clear to Arthur that "Kyle" knows who he is.
The only thing that I can think of is that Arthur's whole family knows all about who he is, and that they put on an act to fool Kyle because Trinity suspected he was onto him. It looks like Trinity is actually not a teacher. Maybe he's some kind of FBI agent? This could work because the family could've lied to Dexter and said he's a teacher. Again, pure speculation and probably way off, but it's fun to theorize.

Is that a Patrick Stewart facepalm?

The acting in Dexter sometimes is so-so, like Dexter and Trinity have some awkward scripted conversation. Last episode was kick ass though

+ Show Spoiler +This makes no sense to me though. Wouldn't killing Trinity have been a smarter thing to do? Trinity has shown that he can kill without arousing suspicion and has been very good about avoiding the police for many years. He can kill many more people now that he's free. Also, what if Trinity decided to knock Dexter in the head with the shovel and throw him into the concrete as well? If I was Trinity, I wouldn't just escape like that, leaving behind such an greater opportunity to get rid of a dangerous obstacle like Dexter.
That's why I don't watch the previews, so I don't come into the next episode with preconceived notions of what is going to happen. Also, are spoilers necessary? It seems that if you come into the thread, you are kinda asking for spoilers.

Idk personal preference now for the spoilers, i mean there was discussion about spoilers before.
i think while its playing and a few hours after its nice, in case someone comes in asking for a link (cough me cough) but after that really no need.

Yeah that was a pretty brutal plot hole, imo. He's got a shovel just lying there, Dexter is turned away and intently focused on something else, and though trinity's injured, he's still strong enough to escape the scene, so he's strong enough to swing a shovel. Oh, well. The episode was good, I'm ready to get rocked by the next ones.

next two episodes should be pretty epic!

+ Show Spoiler +Dexter has been acting more like a "good guy" ever since he killed that innocent dude.

The only justification I can think of would be Trinity doesn't realize at the time what and who Dexter is or It interferes with Trinity's kill cycle which means everything to him. However the counter argument could be used that if Trinity's kill cycle is so important why did he let Dexter save the kid?
Maybe hes just going to find another boy?

What if Masuka saw Dexter's woman and that dude have sex? I mean based on the camera angles etc. we're led to believe that Rita and the neighbour had that first encounter, and that Masuka saw that, and wants to tell Dexter. What if straight after that initial encounter Rita had a change of heart / something else / some other random bullshit and Masuka spotted them doing more?
I'm just speculating random shit here. None of my theories make sense. I'm still jazzed that I picked the reporter thing the episode before it was revealed :D

I didn't get how Christine fell down mentally so quickly. She's a greedy woman, always doing whatever it takes to achieve what she wants. Plus she's cold-blood killer (once thought she murdered Lundy by Trinity's order). She should be stronger and cooler than what she looked like in this ep.

She didn't seem strong or greedy to me. She seemed more clingy/needy and desperately so - to the point that she would do anything for some reciprocal affection. This turn of the story seemed right in line, we got to see why she is the way she is. She was doing everything for affection, from Quinn as a alternative source, but mainly from her father. That anything included killing Lundy.
I don't think she was very strong about the murder either. She never seemed strong about it, very sad about what she did and in all kinds of a mess. Thats why she really prioritized getting a hero piece on Deb, she wanted to do anything she could for her. She was doing it in hopes of gaining her father's affection, and the collateral was more than she could handle. That was my interpretation at least, they seemed to lay it into Christine's story early on, but her motivations only became clear recently.

She's basically just a girl looking for attention from her father who seemed to have been neglecting her ever since his "new" family. She did something that made her think "there, now he HAS to love me" and thought she got away with it. I kinda feel bad for her actually.

Self preservation, he was injured and probably assumed that Dexter had called the police.
