Now I'm going to wait until both the last S4 episodes are out then watch them together, patience pays off like that :-) Some people like it and clain waiting a week for the next ep makes it better, but I never enjoyed it, I rather just have a full season and marathon it. That barely qualifies as a sideplot though, the main story got so interesting in the episode before yesterday's. + Show Spoiler [rumors] + Don't think so, there's a rumor Rita dies in the finale in a car accident. There's an 'angry driver' listed on the imdb page. Also I think the writers have previously said they wouldn't do the whole 'cody and astor also have a dark passenger thing' the author of the books did. They could've been lying obviously. Rita dying would suck 'cause she's pretty hot but it could lead to some interesting storylines. For me it would be pretty unrealistic if Cody (and/or Astor) began showing signs of a dark passenger. Even if they witnessed something horrific, not all people react the same way and become serial killers. And so far they seem pretty normal children. I think Dexter became a serial killer not only because of the murder of his mother but also some innate quality. I know Dexter is not the most realistic series but this would be a little too much for me to believe. + Show Spoiler + i dono about realistic, but that would make it a little too disturbing to me if those cute kids were to suffer seeing something like rita dead in a bloody bathtub and began being serial killers too. i don't think or at least i hope that's not the direction they're willing to go. there's been a lot of signs of dexter trying to grow up and become less evil. i can see how involving dexter's family and making dexter fight to defend his family could be an interesting angle him being a serial killer and all, but that may destroy all progress dexter has made and make him lose the innocence of his family that's been important to him. and i was under the impression that dexter was a normal kid before the container incident | ||

No one seems to be mentioning that for the past four episodes or so, Dexter is barely a monster anymore (i didn't count the episodes, but after he killed the innocent photographer). Besides a couple of random thoughts, in his acts, he's pretty much a standard hero who's trying to save the innocent while concealing his identity. I really love this turn of events, Trinity's managed to change him so much... and it's certainly just the blue sky before the storm. edit: hehe Itch sorta beat me to it  | ||

but when Dexter had to choose between killing trinity and saving the kid, he changed inside. I can't wait to see the next episode... but those previews sorta ruined it for me. | ||
