This way he can avoid pissing off as much people even if the ending is sort of illogical. Of course the result of this was completely destroying Sakura as a character who looked like she had great potential when shippuden started. What I would like to see in the movie is Sakura actually spending some time with sasuke finding out that Sasuke isn't who she actually love. Rather she was in love and has been chasing a Sasuke who only existed in her mind. It isn't him that change but Sakura who has matured and finally reflected back and upon seeing Hinata and Naruto she starts to feel some sort of jealousy. Then eventually lead to her flirting and confronting Naruto if he still had feelings for her. Then shit happens and naruto fight main boss and afterward rejects Sakura and Hinata wins. Overall I really hope this movie repairs Sakura as a character because she is the only main character that although receive a great amount of screen time, her development been rather meh when considering her screen time. The movie has the potential to tie a lot of loose ends about this topic since it is suppose to be about Naruto and Hinata from what people are saying. EDIT: Also you got your ranking wrong, it is 1.) also regarding Sakura....the more i think about it, the more seeing her as a housewife cleaning in the final chapter damages her character arguably more then her being with Sasuke, I mean the sasuke pairing was contrived and dumb based on all the shit he did but it wasn't really by any means a surprise...we all figured that would happen since Naurto had Hinata and we're still meant to take this childhood crush as something real. The fact that regardless of her choice in men, she was the apprentice of the 5th Hokage, one of the legendary sienen for christ sake. Despite being far weaker than Naruto and Sasuke she was still a major hero of the war saving god knows how many lives before Tsunade returned as backup. Why the fuck is she just a house wife when she clearly had at least SOME ambitions prior? It just adds insult to injury after the Sasuke B.S. [Not to insult people who CHOOSE to be housewives mind you, just saying character wise this makes no damn sense.] | ||

Re Salad - It still bugs me that she looks more like a Sasuke-Karin pairing rather than a Sasuke-Sakura pairing. What if Sakura is her step mom and she just doesn't know yet? Hehe! Since Sakura has that Stockholm Syndrome with Sasuke anyway, what if she took in Salada just coz she is Sasuke's and it's one of her ways to still be "close" to him through her. What if Karin died giving birth as Salada ended up using up her regen blood powers for one reason or another during pregnancy for some reason. I know it's speculation and I am not saying I am correct in this. It's just a thought that I came up with. | ||

The worst part by far was naruto getting hinata (the girl he barely talked to over the course of 700 chapters), and sakura "loving" the guy who tried to kill her several times. Seriously, its not a matter of naruhina x narusaku, it's just that it doesn't make ANY fucking sense! But i guess that's to be expected, since that ship sailed a long, long time ago. Anyway, thank god it's over. | ||

I especially did like the beginnings of naruto and there were a lot of up and downs throughout. I kinda hated the shinobi war and the final arc. Can`t really tell why. It somehow seemed to be too much of everything. I loved highlights like the fight between sakura and sasori and I enjoyed the Akatsuki plot. Tobi was a very interesting, mystic enemy first (did not like the direction it went leading to the big war, tho). I also hate the fact that we won`t see Kakashi`s face (my favorite character) :/ | ||

It still shows the power of working hard and dedication. Hinata dedicated herself to getting with Naruto. She worked hard, she trained, she overcame, she kept fighting and in the end she got what she was looking for. She did more to be with Naruto than he did for Sakura. Naruto never once really told Sakura how he felt. Hinata did it many times. | ||

There can be romantic feelings there but we haven't seen much from Sakura for Naruto from even before the war arc. I think last time was when he transformed into the kyuubi way back when he encountered Orochimaru and Kabuto and wanted to know Sasuke's place. This was back when Orochimaru was one crazy guy and Sai just entered the picture working for Danzo (and meeting with Orochimaru then). On the other hand, Hinata has loved Naruto since back before the timeskip. Every time she's made an appearance, we've been reminded of it and I'm pretty sure Naruto knows her feelings (she confessed several times I believe). One of the things I loved watching in the anime was fillers before the timeskip (when Naruto wasn't as stupid in them lol) and it was precisely because the producers realized that the fans loved Hinata and wanted more Naruto x Hinata moments so we got all those weird fillers of them trying to find a bug to track Sasuke (where Hinata saved Naruto) etc... cute stuff lol. I can understand the frustration of Sakura ending up with Sasuke though. Having said that, it's been canon since before the timeskip lol. I was almost 100% sure that everything will work out this way with the only doubt being that main guy and main girl get together (though it's a team of 3 here). Sasuke was eventually going to be redeemed and be back with Sakura who was obsessed with him. Naruto also stopped thinking of Sakura in the romantic sense a long time back as well. I can't remember when but there was an arc before the war arc where she said something (about Sasuke?) and the way he reacted to it confirmed that the ship sailed that day (not that it didn't happen sooner lol). base on what i remember from the manga: when hinata gave him the ointment, he said he like a person like hinata. when neji defeated hinata, his reaction was consistent with his personality more than out of affection. when naruto left for training or came back from training (cant remember exactly), hinata was too shy to meet him. when they were teamed up on a mission, i cannot recall any specific interaction that hints at romance. naruto probably said something and hinata got embarrassed because of hyperactive imagination or something. when kiba teased him about hinata, he didn't react like he would when he got teased about sakura. then we get the confession, naruto 's face immediately after was one of shock as though he only learned of hinata's feelings for the first time. after pain's defeat, sakura who is usually perceptive about situations also ponders over the realisation that hinata loves naruto. at this point, i also believe that sakura gave up any budding feelings she has for naruto at the start of part 2 (when she is starting to see naruto in a better light during years of no sasuke). so after confession, any supporting evidence in the form of flashbacks or interactions is pretty much pointless since the naruhina route is completed. personally i dont give a damn about shipping, i just go along with given evidence based on the source material. good on naruhina ending but it came out of nowhere for me as a manga reader. | ||

Everyone in this thread is a manga reader lol. I think what it comes to is what is the best pairing. Naruto and Hinata is by far the best pairing compared to the other possibilities. We knew Hinata loved him but Sakura's feelings weren't there anymore. Naruto used to like Sakura but he also dropped his feelings for her a long time back and with Hinata, he never said he liked her though it's always a possibility. In other words, yes, there weren't many strong indications that Naruto loved Hinata but from all the possibilities, it would've been the best pair and the cutest imo so glad that Kishi went with it. I'm also hoping that the movie explains things really well in terms of what happened after the war was over, how Hinata approached the situation etc... Please Kishi, make this an amazing movie!
