They first thought Kaguya's technique was a genjutsu right but since they felt the heat, they knew it wasn't (although isn't genjutsu supposed to fool your senses regardless whether or not it is hot?) Was he implying that the planet/everything in their universe has chakra (Even non living ones) and that Kaguya can control it all without being in contact with it as she is technically the "source" of the chakra after she ate it from the tree? Normally we saw elemental techniques requiring the user to actually come in contact with the element in question or infuse it with something else that is imbued already with their chakra to be able to control it/manipulate it (Especially on large scale techniques). However, what Kaguya did maybe somehow different? Did she change the ground from earth to lava? Or did she take out the top layer and removed it (delete basically) to reveal lava underneath (no equivalent exchange mumbo jumbo)? I didn't get that entire page and just saw it as them falling into lava for some reason. someone did ask if they were in a different dimension in the chapter right? | ||

Hagoromo and Hamura opted to save the humans instead of following in their mother's evil footsteps, and Hagoromo spread the Ninshuu religion while Hamura went off and did other things, not yet stated in the manga. So we've known for a long time Madara wasn't the end game. Kaguya is. Madara was just a pawn of hers. | ||

In 10 chapters Hamura will appear, as he was plotting in his underwater base to send a spaceship to the moon and install a laser on the moon(using sunlight with mirrors and lenses), then he appears and burns Kaguya to ash with his giant laser cannon. For that was his plan all along. Hamura fooled Kaguya, to believe that he was dead and has done nothing of singificance, only to steal all that power from her. | ||

 As mentioned, it's definitely not genjutsu so she either used some massive technique to completely change the earth beneath them or teleported them to another place that had lava. I believe the teleportation part more than the massive ninjutsu part, not that it's not possible with that much chakra and power lol | ||
