I JUST realized it..but I find it interesting how Hashirama uses the Wood Dragon technique in his flashback battle against the Kyuubi. Contrast to the present where these roles are semi-flipped, with Naruto/Kurama vs Freak Madara using Wood Dragon.

Kishimoto just evolved the shounen manga meta, now the others are like: "Flashback in a flashback? Why did I not think of that!". Soon everybody will be doing it, sigh. Still a good chapter, just because they are so badass.

I liked the design of Hashirama's buddah thing. But seriously, yet another chapter of who uses the biggest jutsu with the most potential to blow shit up.

Well yeah but that's to be expected really Dreamer.T =P I hope they can make the flashback of Hashirama as good as they made the Obito one. Not that it was insanely amazing story wise (although pretty cool) but the art was great and it's still pretty intriguing.

I think you are confused. Hiruzen could never use Edo Tensei he got rid of Orochimaru's arms using the http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Demon_Consuming_Seal he did the same with the resurrected 1st and 2nd hokage(they were not at all near full power as edo tensei was still not perfected) using his clones.

well to be fair, this is not really the first time kishi's used the whole flashback in a flashback thingy. Im pretty sure he used it in the flashbacks of sasuke before/when he fights naruto at the valley of the end.

I was just thinking why madara is so bitter but if hashirama was his friend it explains why. He sacrifices his best friend to get mangekyo sharingan his brother to get eternal mangekyo sharingan all to serve his clan and fight his friend. Then when it comes down to it his clan leaves him in the cold to create konoha...

Theory on hashirama: His own cells was used as sacrifice: stronger edo tensei than the usual edo tensei that kabuto got so far?
