still boggles my mind how Hashirama at full power is if you think about it he beat Madara+Kyubi and Madara alone basically trashed the 5 kages and could probably take on the entire allied army alone with susano, Meteor Jutsu and rinnegan, although infinite Chakra and immortality does play a factor in this case I guess.

also how badass is that smirk when he sees a Bijudama flying at him, he then catches it like it's like a ball and throws it back in Rasengan fashion??

Hashi only fought EMS Madara and Kyubii, Mads didn't obtain the rinnegan until old age and Kabuto gave him Hashi DNA to boost him even more. The current Madara is much stronger than Hashi was when he was living.

This Susanoo is only possible because Edo Madara's infinite chakra and greatly enhanced body. The one shown in the recent chapter was probably the limit of his at the time.

Granted everything madara has shown so far is nothing in comparison to his full power with hashi's cells + rinnegan. He's basically just stood around eating popcorn while everyone around him dies, so when he's really forced to struggle and fight for real I'm sure he's going to go super sharinganjin 3 (ssj3) or some shit. Hashi is probably as strong as madara has shown to be so far, aka able to beat the 5 kages alone. But I don't think hashi is anywhere near in power to zombie madara. Naruto is probably going to be the one doing what hashi can't and beat zombie madara to make the new generation look better than the old.

It's not like anything is supposed to be a challenge for them aside from very few exceptions. How somebody managed to off Hashirama is still one of the unexplained mysteries in the series. If it'll ever be explained, it's probably going to be stupid.

Just read this chapter, and it's pretty interesting. Story wise, it's re-iterating the same things. However, I feel that these chapters are developing the 1st and 2nd more, as we (or at least I) haven't seen/known them much other than knowing they were great shinobi. Orochimaru simply improved upon the original edo tensei created by the 2nd, (this is what kabuto raves about and the improved version is what revived all the ninja for the war) which allows him to bring them back with their full power and personalities intact, yet still under his control (unless they know how to break it like madara and hashi have).
