I think madara broke it even before Kabuto-stuff, it's just that everyone disappeared and he didn't. Don't think Kabuto not being around anymore had anything to do with wether Madara was able to break it or not.

I still think that the whole "put on shinigami mask, slice up belly and get the sealed away stuff back" us pretty bullshit but let's see where Kishi takes this. At this point I even prefer the Bleach plot compared this xD

As epic as this is, I really feel like this is a retcon. First Sasuke does a rain dance and shakes a mystic rattle and Orochiromaru jumps out of the sky and now the crew does a jig and dons the mask of truth and 'lo and behold, the unsummonable are now summonable!
I realize Naruto isn't realistic by any standards but this is taking shit too far.
