I swear people on TL complain just for the sake of it
This.
I don't know why ppl expect a normal ninja fight in a battle between tailed beasts. I also don't know how people failed to predict that Naruto would eventually become so powerful. It was obvious when we first saw the 8-tails. Hell, it was obvious when we first saw Naruto get 1 tail.
If anything, I'm surprised Naruto and Sasuke haven't become more powerful. They still pale in comparison to beings like Madara, the 1st Hokage, and the 10-tails. Hell, even Kabuto and Itachi seem to be stronger than Sasuke. My prediction was that eventually, Naruto and Sasuke would become the two most powerful ninjas in the history of the world.
Also, I don't understand why people complain that certain ninjas have been made "obsolete". That's nothing new. There have always been ninjas who were stronger than many other ninjas combined. Hell, arguably the biggest plot driver in this entire show is Itachi single-handedly murdering the feared Uchiha clan in his teens. The only thing that makes Naruto now different from Naruto in the past is that we're focusing on the strong people instead of the weak ones.
It's not that for me atleast. I loved how Itachi was so powerful, the thing was he was limited by his chakra and being a pacifist so even though he was awesome he had a weakness. Now with the stupid rez jutsu and infinite chakra whats the point in being clever or really good when you can just bomb cities all day. I get that this was the eventual conclusion but it just seems overdone. the 4th bested the 9 tails without super haxz powers why does everyone else need them?
I suppose I can see why people are angry, but as people have mentioned before, Kishi did have to do this. Sure, back in the chunin exams and the beginning of Shippuden, it was awesome because we were still seeing a lot of cool and unique powers yet still saw a clear level difference. We knew that it was going to get more awesome (higher levels of techniques), and we looked forward to that. One of my favorite tech upgrades was Shikamaru's first appearance in Shippuden, SHADOWS COMING OUT OF THE GROUND BITCH! It was a good progression yet wasn't incredibly overpowered. Third vs Orochimaru was like two of the highest level ninjas, yet you could still see a variety of techs being used. It's sort of a fall from grace, where because there's a really strong enemy, only the strongest techniques can be used, therefore the variety of techniques goes down too. The use of tactics is only part there, because power is much more the deciding factor.
I will say, I still really hate how the kages can't hold their own, yet Naruto, Bee, Gai and Kakashi seem to be holding their own vs Madara AND Tobi.
I don't think that Kage = automatically strongest Shinobi. Not only is it not the rule, but often people hide their strength (like Kakashi and I guess Gai, too)

Which was okay because he wasn't in the manga anymore. It doesn't matter if you're God, if you're only there as a memory then your only purpose is to be a sort of skill ceiling (which actually makes things better, as people can see and get excited for an ending where they get close/achieve that skill).

How many battles did Obito fight? 1 maybe 2? Not counting the battles where he essentially didn´t attack and just teleported around.
It´s hard to show off techniques when you are not participating in any fights.

all hes done this fight is just swing around that fan and let his ability handle the defense theres been no strategy in his fighting at all just pick a target try to get a good grip to suck him in at least Naruto uses his shadow clones and transformation jutsu to lay traps and trick people Naruto showed 10000 X more strategy in his fight against Neji then Obito has shown in every fight hes been in ever literally all Obito does is mindlessly try to suck his opponent in and let his auto defense deal with the rest
and hes been in 3 fights, one with Minato, one with Paper chick and one with Naruto, Kakashi, Bee and Gai

in Obito s defense: why fix what aint broken, it worked that far for him, too bad he met the only guy that happens to have same technique as him...

I do and I honestly prefer Drago Ball over Dragonball Z.

The point was, so far Obito was in so very few fights and used only few techniques, while our protagonist was in many fights and still used few techniques. The Naruto against Neji fight was so long ago. Naruto had how many, 10, 20, maybe 50 fights since then? The point was that pre timeskip the fights were better and had more tactics/trickery to them. Your cited fight was pre timeskip.

what about his fight during pain? he used plenty of strategy there
actually how many fights has Naruto really had since the time skip? he sorta fought Deidara but that doesnt really count since Deidara spent the entire time trying to get away he fought the immortal guy but was only there for a bit at the end his fight against Orochimaru was really the Kyuubi in control
the only fights hes really been in is VS Pain and Obito
Naruto is stronger than absolutely every being besides the Juubi and Rikudo Senin. Hashirama can't compete cus he wasn't even able to kill living EMS Madara who is much weaker than the current one. And even with his unlimited chakra, Rinnegan, Mokuton, Madara still seems outgunned compared to Nardo.
And the 4th is a bit overhyped. He was king at killing fodder and his biggest 1v1 victory was against his 14 year old former student. He had a few really haxd abilities in FTG, Shiki Fuujin, and uzumaki seals, but he lacked nukes and any real destructive power. His most destructive move is plain old Rasengan....
In the end. this fight will somehow end in a new rasengan variant. Senpo Cho FutonBiujuRasen Tarengan here we come.

Umm, Bee, Kakashi and Gai are just plain stronger than the Kages individually that's why. And luckily, Kakashi and Gai got restored back to 100%. It also helps when you have the most haxd ability ever, Kamui. The most versatile Mangekyo ability we have ever seen. If it wasn't for Obito, Kakashi would just look and Juubi and Madara and well.....KamuiGG.

Since when were Kakashi and Gai stronger than the Kages?

Since when were Kakashi and Gai stronger than the Kages?
Since it's been agreed upon in the narutoforum battledome discussions. They can defeat each Kage individually, but not all at once. However, the battledome thinks that Kakashi can defeat each Kage 1 vs1 and defeat all of them in a row seeing as how he can casually do 5 Kamuis while being exhausted from previous fights. His hardest challenge would only be Ei and Onoki, but with his current Kamui feats, he clears them as well. But like I said, this is all 1v1 in row, not 1v5. Kamui just allows him to defeat opponents who are stronger, like Onoki and Ei.
Being Kage doesn't mean being the strongest shinobi.

absolutely. maybe kakashi will throw in some kamui into it in order to become the ultimate 0 delay nuke that can insta teleport inside bodies. or even some ultra powered up kamui when Obito finally teams up with kakashi in order to perform the strongest Kamui that could insta teleport every villiain inside obito;s dimension
