But the characters in the narutoverse are already void of free will and are false interpretations of reality. Seems like Obito's master plan is far kinder than Kishimoto's ![]() Of course, Kishimoto is also in control of Obito's master plan, so he's screwed anyways. Can't fight the author.

Because we jumped into an alternate universe where Kakashi got MS before timeskip.

Ok how about this. Now instead of being a plaything of fate/god/nature/etc, you're the plaything of a guy who went apeshit crazy at age 13 because the girl he wanted to fuck got killed by Kakashi instead. Do you REALLY want LAN I mean dreamworld.

Also Obito: I understand him being imba and use Wooden techniques, but as soon as he got it he masters it perfectly? Yeah sure, Uchicha ftw I guess. And finally why is Kakashi unable to do this? Apparently shifting requires no learning and skill.

Thus Obito didn't actually "kill" anyone to receive his MS. its been established that you don't actually need to kill someone to obtain the mangekyou. you just have to experience a tragic personal loss. the killing your closest friend thing was made up by itachi to fuel sasuke's anger in a contrived attempt to make him stronger. i believe itachi himself did not kill shisui. I was kind of hoping for some more philosophical save the world type of deal like FMA. :/ but nope...maybe i'm just too old for naruto now. It just seems to be something for teens who get all emotional from a single pimple instead of actually maturing and learning to deal with things.

Uchiha's have abnormally powerful ninja like sasuke and madara, those guys have huge chakra pools. Itachi had a low chakra pool. Kakashi has a huge chakra pool but it takes a LOT of chakra for a non-uchiha to use sharingan. I think that kakashi didn't remember his mangekyou just like sasuke didn't remember his 1 tomoe sharingan at age 7.

Rin's death was what made Obito believe in Madara's plan of never having losers. The reason he is carrying out the plan is not just because Rin died it is that Rins death made him realize the pain of losing someone. So now he believes in a world where "heroes don't have to cry at gravestones" and such. Tbh from what was shonw in the chapter before flashback city was engaged Obito doesn't seem to care at all about Rin's death anymore.

I perfectly uderstand the reasoning, but i believe it to be immature and single minded. People who can't grow up and deal with problems (such as feeling the loss of loved ones) and instead try to escape into a dream world so they don't need to deal with reality are merely immature. It's a fine symbolic ploy, and when you're young you might be able to relate cause losing those you care for can leave some deep scars. But a part of growing up is dealing with such things. Having a 30 year old man who still thinks so child-like is....disappointing.
