True. Naruto has ups and (severe) downs, but One Piece always flies high. No offense to the Naruto fans (cuz I am one too) but One Piece is by far my favorite manga. Constantly great story, with virtually no ridiculously lame filler chapters and extreme lapses in care about storyline development as commonly seen in Bleach and Naruto.... let's not get started about what's wrong in Bleach lol

What is your definition of "mainstream"? The "Big 3", One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach are their own category imo. Then, depending on how avid an anime watcher you are, a lot of stuff can be considered "mainstream".

Brotherhood is a remake that follows the manga storyline, whereas the original went off on it's own half-way through. Or you could watch both I guess.

Bleach is nothing awesome, but solid all along. Naruto had such a great and rich starting, got me into anime>manga and that is why it is so sad to see that the deep characters and the lore are just left aside to focus exclusively on naruto and greatest friend/enemy. Naruto promised to become an epic story, but it did not, thanksfully One Piece has become jaw dropping fantastic.

K obviously that's not a perfect analogy by any means, but what I'm trying to say is that everyone just keeps on getting more and more powerful until it gets ridiculous at one point. Really, Aizen? Wtf? A super-genius super-powerful Freiza-ish character that was also the evil mastermind behind every single evil thing that has happened in Ichigo's life? Also, what are these stupid STANDOFFS for??? Just like in DBZ, over half of Bleach is just people standing around in ridiculous face-offs... and then they talk and talk and talk about why the other side is going to die. Remind you of the DBZ tv episodes where they're just flying around not doing anything? Seriously... a little too much forced drama. Yeah, Bleach is about forced drama. There are examples of this everywhere; pretty much every single damn chapter, these things happen: 1. Eyes widen dramatically 2. Sweat appears all the freaking time 3. Stand off with longass conversation, while they just look at each other Bleach is making me tired. One Piece, on the other hand, is fantastic. FMA (full metal alchemist) is also a fantastic series, but I think they also kinda lost a bit of momentum towards the end, especially when suddenly the final boss appears... then it kinda turned into a "let's make an extended fight scene" with not too much careful storyline development, everything just happened so quickly... I think a great series that isn't as epic as most of these, but is really fun just to read, is Fairy Tail lol. It's not deep or anything at all... but just very lighthearted and fun. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is kinda like that too lol, fun and entertaining. The opposite end of that spectrum, of course, would be series like Claymore, which is also great.
