Maybe so nobody can follow them incase they want to return to the place?
Its pretty much untraceable where the blind guy brings people to so its super secure, allowing them to leave and get back by car/plane/foot propably puts the place into danger?

Also it was said, everyone is there on their own free will. The location is more about others not finding them.

nvm
It's just that this place is more a prison than a school (Skye's dad, raina, even Skye) so I'm pretty sure she has to escape

Only Raina, Sky and the boy with electricity have powers, none of those help with mountain climbing without food or shelter while avoiding animals. I could possible see Raina survive that as she can fight without weapons and move faster but I doubt she has survival skills needed to walk out of there alive.

Well maybe I misunderstand some shit but I'm pretty sure that some students (not all) are awaken too. Skye's daddy has powers too (but not from the mist)

Skye's dad is a prisoner there and will obviously not go anywhere in any way.

Welp, they cliffhangered the shit out of this episode. If they have another Deathlok brainwashing to become a bad guy again I'm gonna be pissed. He switches sides practically every other episode. It will be interesting to see if the Scarlet Witch and Quicksliver show up given that they're supposed to be at Strucker's place which seems to be where all this is heading.

Nice that we're back to Ward/Cal/Hydra lead storyline's, so much better than this double SHIELD stuff.

Well that storyline will come to a head since they have Coulson, but I doubt they'll just end it there.

Ward is seriously the best now. Holy crap did I love him in this episode.
"This is great! We finally got the team back together!"
"Mistakes were made."
Trolling as an artform.

So I have managed to watch as far as S02E13. I just can't continue, the show is so bad, and I've been trying to overlook the errors without success.
The SHIELD is just a lesser of evils, and it seems only Fitz is a likeable character, and of course Ward. Coulson and his team are all about "Millions may die"/"safety of civilianz". Seriously who gives a shit? I thought this idea on TV would die with jack bauer and his 24. This show made me not go to the theatre and watch the new Avengers, I guess it's just another fireworks on the screen kind of movie, like a desktop saver.

Yeah, sounds like the superhero genre is not your thing. Ever watched 7 Samurai? Those guys don't give a rats ass about civilians.
+ Show Spoiler +Unironic suggestion: the Matrix?

I did like f.ex The Green Lantern. I feel the story didn't revolve around civilians and morality, but rather the character development overcoming and admitting fears. Man of Steel, it's been a while since I saw it, but I remember it was good. I think SHIELD is just on the offensive when it comes to doing the "right thing", the good soldier, getting on an index (and they don't give a shit about those who gets there), and have plenty of weak characters, and the strong ones are the villains. It's hard to watch the main characters and wanting them to burn in a fire. Is forgiveness completely alien to these guys? Or a change of heart? Fitz helping Skye was good (the alien dna), I really was hoping for more like that, but it's too rare.
I'll check out the 7 samurai Matrix is amazingly deep and fun, and yes, I fucking love it.

So I guess Theta Protocol was + Show Spoiler +the new Avengers base from Age of Ultron. That was kinda anticlimactic. Was also hoping that at least Edward James Olmos would show up on the carrier since ostensibly it's HIS helicarrier they're using.
