He used the money he embezzled from the firm to support his mistress and lied when he was discovered, telling a sob story that he needed it for his wife, who had cancer. Until then, the show hadn't really much to paint Hardman as a villain, while accentuating Jessica's negative traits in a way that made me root for him in their civil war. (After this episode I realized there is no reason to root for either side...both are in it only for their own benefit.) | ||
