He clearly hates her and I guess he wants to make her suffer but usually he is really efficient and this seems like a dumb move, when he could've just as easily went up without her. Initially to keep the team together, now so he can find out what really happened. He knows she had help, and he'll never uncover it if she dies before she can meet them. Edit: Alternative option would be to climb to the top, become a High Ranker above Yu Han Sung, get Guardian permission on the Floor of Tests, then coerce it out of him. But that's not a particularly good plan. (Or he could fight Headon lol)
yep it wouldn't be sufficient for someone like koon to end it so quickly without finding the root cause of the disappearance of baam.
clearly the ties of the real "Fug" mafia run deeper, even probably to the roots and creation of the tower itself.
almost every floor director we've seen up till now has had his hands and involvement in rachel's development going back all the way to the entry first floor of the gate. clearly the tower wasn't meant for what was right, since it's a tower of ambition and desire. they praise right and justice on the outside but help the wicked behind their backs, branding any irregular as a hostile who disrupts law and order. well the law and order here is clearly established by the wicked.
on another irrelevant note, thank you, thank you and thank you for someone bringing this manga here. i read alot of japanese manga but this one completely blew me out of the water with how the author incorporates philosophy and human behavior into the plot. this has been in my opinion the most thought provoking manga in a while even though the drawing isn't as flashy as some of the shounen. it's great that there is comic competition outside of just japan and that comic book can meet plot on an equal level. i have pretty much read all the chapters within a week's time and find in a whole it doesn't disappoint. the characters run deep in this one where there isn't just a sense of "right" and "wrong" unlike naruto and every other manga character is pretty much predicable.
looking forward, here are my predictions + Show Spoiler + well obviously bamm is the son of the king zahard, hence why they call him prince. the real king zahard is either dead, too old or constantly being challenged by new power for the control of the tower. clearly s rules within the tower now, are being set by fug. i believe the king fell in love with a woman and obviously conceived bam by blood, knowing this the king either locked him up himself because of the power potential and imbalance, or the king was overthrown and a new set of laws were established. i think the whole plot revolves around the fact, the higher ups knew about bamm and inevitably waitied for his arrival, in order to either use him to overthrow the king. bamm not knowing his orgin was clearly kept in the dark. the rules that all princesses who want relational ties to the king cannot be of blood descent also attest to this fact and the possible corruption of the tower.

Nice back to Baam & co. I hope they get some interesting tests coming up soon!

LOL newest chapter is too QT XD

I wonder if Hwa Ryun and Yihwa have some prior history, they seem to know each other.
Reading over the chapter again, it was quite funny really, especially the conversation between Hwa Ryun and the fake Viole.

I'm so happy that we are back to Koon and co. Unless we switch to a totally different set of characters because Knot of wool ended. Koon was defs my favorite character haha.
On a side note, I felt like the art for the last while was fantastic. Novik looks sick, and just the art in general is great in my opinion.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next since if they go over Viole's history while Yeon's there, then she'll learn the truth. Probably end up falling in love with him even more

No at the end of the chapter Hwa-ryun said Hi? to Yeon. So she most likely doesn't know her.
But since Yeon is a princess of 10 family,Hwa-ryun should know her i think since she she is a guide.

Where are you reading the English translations, if not on batoto.net (The Company's translation)?

Yeah, exactly my question... Any other online manga reader. There are speedlator groups who took on ToG because of the rage directed at The Company.
Anyways - wonder what Hwa Ryun's going to do now that Viole/Baam has caught up to her. Guide him on? Love triangle with Yeon? Ah, the possibilities. XD

Tower of God wiki is your best friend. http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Headon Headon, the first floor guardian, made a deal with Rachel so that she could become the "heroine" of the story in return for something from Rachel(unknown what he wants from Rachel at this point), which is why she was given help to pass the second floor, and then given a whole squad of people to escort her to the higher levels of the tower.
http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Ranker Shows like the top rankers in the tower including Zahard and the original people from the 10 great families. If you get to the 134th floor, you are given a rank based on how strong you are. Suprisingly Zahard is #3, 2 previous irregulars are #1 and #2. #1 ranker invaded Zahard's castle and killed a lot of rankers and high rankers off before he got to zahard, challenged him, and then disappeared. #2 ranker killed the guardian on the 43rd floor, which is why the 43rd floor has no guardian.
http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Floors All the floors in the tower except three, are ruled by Zahard's family and the 10 great families. 2nd floor is owned by Evankhell who killed someone the ruler of the second floor, a person who belonged to a great family. Evankhell is ranked like 60 something. 77th floor is the floor of the Wing Tree organization. Wing Tree organization is said to be really strong with a lot of high rankers. http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Walhaiksong Urek, an irregular was granted rule of the 77th floor after he fought Arie, a head of a great family. Urek then gave the floor to a friend. 43rd floor does not have a guardian, so no test there. Everyone is given a free pass. http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Forty-Third_Floor
http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/F.U.G
http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/One-Hundreth_Floor Zahard and the heads 9 of the great families were granted immortality after passing the test on the 100th floor. So presumably, Zahard is not dead, because he is immortal. http://towerofgod.wikia.com/wiki/Zahard

I find it pretty funny that: + Show Spoiler +The subgroup of F.U.G. that Viole is a member/candidate of is names Slayers. It also appears that they are complete badasses. + Show Spoiler +Yihwa's nickname given to her by Wangnan is "Hellion". + Show Spoiler +
