And they snatched it away from us. Honestly, I would rather have had them just strike the episode out entirely or never have included Derpy in the first place than change it at all; it destroys every single bit of canon information, because now everything has the potential to be changed. What happens if someone finds Zecora's accent offensive? Will they go back and edit out all her lines to make them less (for lack of a better word) ethnic? Absolutely nothing is set in stone anymore. It's disheartening to me. | ||

But there are any number of reasons it could have happened, legal or whatnot, should at least get confirmation on what it was before the accusation that they caved into some complainers. | ||

The new version just shows you how out of place the entire scene is with this random pony. It will look even MORE awkward than before now for someone who has no idea who derpy is. | ||
