No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.
Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers. |
For anyone who want to have MLP saved in their PC, due to this youtube problem, you can downlowd it via torrent on internet(it takes one google search).
you can also watch(legally!) the episodes from their website: http://www.hubworld.com/my-little-pony/shows/friendship-is-magic
I mean, if they are taking it down, at least watch it from where they want you to watch it.
+ Show Spoiler [Zecora] +![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/qMQeE.png) Breaking blocks and crafting stone, farms created, apples grown. Ponies built their huts within, though their doors are very thin. Search the section Sports & Games, for the thread that hold our claims. Seek within your final clue; one last link’s awaiting you.
|
I in no way want to bash what other people watch, if you want to watch it, watch it, but I will not give this show a chance because I am genuinely scared that I might also get into it.

Delete the linky before the mods get twitchy, okie dokie lokie?

I wish this was a bit larger; hard as hell to read.

I'll see if I can't dig up the original link

Watched episode 7, not going to lie, it wasn't terrible. The OP mentions the writer was a co-producer of Powerpuff girls but lets be fair Craig McCracken is responsible for that show's awesomeness.
MLP has got nothing on Dexter's Lab though, however no other cartoon does either.
And Ponycraft 2 may just be the most epic SC2 parody I've ever seen.

Just finished episode 26, having started watching shortly after this thread was posted.
That was quite something. Definitely a good show, although I'm not sure I would admit to anyone I know that I've watched the whole season.
Episode 19 is my favorite, the diamond dogs are hilarious. Episode 26 was a good finale, although Fluttershy seemed out of character.

As for Fluttershy being out of character... (series long spoilers) + Show Spoiler +A few things to note. The STARE , which leads into... the fact that she has the ability to become aggressive when something dear to her is in turmoil, usually explosively aggressive (in her sweet way). In this case, what I see is that she' built up this night, imaging all the great creatures she'll meet and the new ones and makes friends. Aslo, for her, her time with animals is a source of acceptance, one that started from when she first fell from Cloudsdale at a time when she so desperately needed. The creatures at the Gala gardens are apparently pony shy -- maybe some colts torment them and they learned to keep their distance. With her high expectations and her earnest attempts and communing with them, her frustration begins to mount. And then, on a more unconcious level, she feels a sense of rejection -- her source of acceptance and tranquility is avoiding her and most certainly not helping her be tranquil. That builds up to comic perportions that are still a bit of a stretch based on what we have to expect from previous episodes... But maybe she can be more explosive than we first thought, perhaps stemming from the possibility that she still has crippling acceptance issues, despite the friendships she's managed to forge. So, while it is a stretch, with all that considered it's not too much of one, at least for me. Hope that helps! ^_^

Just watched a second episode....
Oh God....

That makes three...
-Edit: whoops sorry for the double post
+ Show Spoiler +I have to say though I am a bit worried about the extremely disproportionate female to male ratio in this village. Coupled with the extremely close relationships I am left pondering whether there is such a thing as a lesbian pony...

+ Show Spoiler +Dude... has Rainbow Dash not given that vibe to you yet? xD

Leave that sort of thing to the fanfictions...
Can't a girl have a short hair and like athletics / sports / anything without everyone thinking she is a lesbian? I really love this show but alot of people read waaaaay too much into the little stuff and it gets old pretty fast.
I mean *maybe* but i really dont get the vibe everyone talks about, its all platonic non-serious good fun in ponyville (except Spike crushing on Rarity but really thats just funny hes got no chance :p) but many fans of the show just try to sully that and I don't quite understand.
The innocence and pure charm of the show is a large part of the appeal to me so I get kinda upset when folks are talking about sexual preferences and stuff within the show (straight or gay makes no difference to me) aswel as when people let Fanfictions affect their ideas of the characters. I mean ever tried to watch anything on Youtube with Pinkie pie in it without a hundred idiots loling about that "cupcakes" fanfic? really grinds my gears.
Sorry the incoherant ramblings was distracted while writing
*edit* to the poster below me ah yeah thats a good point I saw that poster its really cool, I suppose 1 relationship between the background characters would be a sweet nod to the fanbase even if I dont really agree with "Fanon" on alot of things.

Regarding lesbian ponies, the fanon has pretty much universal recognition of exactly one couple, and it's background ponies Lyra and Bon-Bon (fan-named), who are seen together in most episodes. Hasbro even included a hint towards recognizing it in their official Comic con poster. Lyra and Bon-Bon are the only two ponies looking at each other instead of the viewer, aside from the spa attendant sisters and Mr. and Mrs. Cake. This poster was made with the fandom in mind--there are other subtle details like Colgate giving a big smile, and just about every popular random background pony including Octavia, Pokey Pierce and Vinyl Scratch (which totaled about 20 seconds of screen time between the three) is present.
We've heard already that in season 2, the layout artists will be trying to give more background ponies a bit of a personality and plan out more where they will appear. It would not surprise me if Lyra and Bon-Bon continued to appear together, so I guess you could call that an official but non-committal nod towards lesbian ponies.

I like shipping, as long as it's just having fun imagining it, writing fanfiction and making fanart, I hate people who take shipping too seriously and argue the merits of one pairing over another. The people who treat it like it's super serious business and "can't wait for the scene where Twilight finally admits her love to X Character." Newsflash: They aren't going to fuck. This is a kid's show.
I think pony pairings are fine, just don't be one of those people.

See I don't agree with that at all, I think that is twisted and absolutely non-relevant, I think this is one of the reasons people can assimilate "bronies" with "furries" (god forbid), this is just downright creepy, it's a kids show for Pete's sake!

Craig McCracken is the husband of Lauren Faust. Who knows how much they consult each other for their respective works. If I was married to Lauren Faust I would probably talk about the pony dreams I had over breakfast.

How naive are you? It doesn't matter what the demographic is, there's always gonna be people pairing the characters.

I don't know why you think it's more twisted than the relationship of Spike and Rarity, other than that it's the fandom's creation. It doesn't have to include the questionable fanfics or -art. That stuff exists of everything imaginable anyways.

Fan arts involving Lyra and Bon-Bon are actually pretty mild compared to other stuff. There is nothing twisted about it.
