For the most part, these traits are often two sides of the same coin - AJ is dependable and a hard worker, but these traits go hand in hand with her stubbornness and roughness FS is gentle and kind, but the extremeness of these behaviors make her very shy and timid PP is fun and energetic, but sometimes that means she is crazy TS and Rarity are similar but I am lazy you get the idea Anyways, the point: Rainbow Dash's negative traits are that she is prideful/egocentric and lazy, but the other side of that coin (she is badass/awesome and doesn't have to work very hard because she is so gifted/talented) are not personality driven, but rather are more a byproduct of her flying skills. I think this is why Dash centered episodes (i.e. the last two (The Mysterious Mare Do Well moreso than May the Best Pet Win)) don't work as well as when she's either sharing the spotlight or just not being focused on. There is room to make Dash's positive traits more than just something inherent in her body, and I hope we see them move her in that direction. She is still my favorite (I play sports, : 3 heh), but won't be as strong of a character as the other 5 until they fix this, although perhaps I am too concerned with one weak episode. | ||

When do we actually see her being loyal outside of when the elements of harmony are explicitly being invoked? Griffon the Brushoff and Over a Barrel, mayyyyybe? When do we actually see her training? Once in Applebuck Season and once at the start of Sonic Rainboom? She does rest a lot (and I understand that resting is a part of training), but it's always portrayed as napping. Sincerity and mentality are again two sided traits (sincerity vs tactlessness / competitive vs too competitive) where the negative side is more frequently invoked. She's still best pony, though <3 | ||
