No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.
Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers. |

I think Hasbro should start embracing and respecting its older demograph. Since we are adults, we are capable and willing to spend more on "toys", should be of good value and worth. They should really hire artists and what not to design T-shirts, posters, plushies and other adult "appropriate" consumer goods and sell them at a higher price.
Although, I don't know if i have the right to speak, since i'm still a student and don't really have full control of my financial system (still dependent on parents).

True that. Although you gotta think about whether or not Hasbro is willing to take the risk and invest capital into making official shirts, quality toys, plush dolls, etc for a demographic that is, in their eyes, interesting but not significant (as revealed in the Wall Street Journal Article, where the Hasbro executive more or less just brushed us off as a internet phenomena with no real impact, at least that is how I saw it. I may be wrong). Yeah, Studio B recognizes us, but how much say does Studio B have in the toy side of MLP? Judging by the constant mistakes that the toys have, not much... Although time has shown that marketing to the adults brings back huge rewards. As you said, we, the older demographic, have the money and the willingness to buy things more so than a parent who has a child begging to buy what they see as another cheap, plastic toy off the shelves of Toy's R Us or something like that. Maybe Hasbro is just being overtly cautious. After all, traditional toys are starting to lose to video games and the like.
A bit off topic: Although to be terribly honest, as a company, you should be dedicated to making quality products no matter what. Apple showed us in the technology sector that if a product is good, people will shell out the premium for it. Why can't other Hasbro see it that way T-T.

And about today's episode... + Show Spoiler +To be terribly honest, the only problem I had with the whole thing was the dialogue. I almost cringed at certain parts because of the way the dialogue was so forced at times. The flow of the characters talking was kind of awkward. Which is usually MLP's strong points. But it was adorable none the less. And the fencing cutie mark segment just made me giggle. Just cuz i'm a fencer and all that. Oh, and juding from the looks of all the ponies at the bowling alley, a lot of them seemed bigger than the Mane 6 themselves. Same way that Rarity's parents were larger than Rarity. What does this say about the Mane 6's age? I mean, Many of the Applelousans were the size of the mane 6. Idk, is it just me??

If it's a funeral march, why are all the ponies smiling?

Its not a funeral march. But its still sad. Since its not blatantly obvious, you can tell twilight is *old* in the image, its not a funeral procession, probably more of a parade honoring her or something, but she is grayed out and withering, while spike has grown and celestia is the same. The whole picture is sad, because 1.) old twilight is close to dying and that by itself is saddening.2.) You realize that celestia and spike are going to outlive twilight by a vast margin
Its actually a deeper picture than it looks like at first glance.

That, and the fact that none of the other 5 are present and instead are represented by items(balloons, apple, butterfly, blue feather, Rarity's cutie mark on a blanket) implies that they're all dead.
Pinkie's in the background, but I think we all know that she more or less ignores reality/is capable of time travel.

Quick, have some awesome to counteract the sad! + Show Spoiler +
also totally reposting the rarity from earlier because the picture is just *that* good.

I love the Big Lebowski reference at the start.

Can somebody explain me please why this is so popular? I mean for me it just looks like a normal show for children.

Also, there is a simple way to find out. Watch it. Either you like it, or not. Explaining to someone why they should like something is useless in my opinion. You should not like something because someone tells you good reasons to like it, or dislike it if he can't. That makes no sense at all.

Wow I saw this on EqD earlier and I thought it was really cool, though I was not sure of the intent behind the tokens from the other mane ponies, I did think it was because they had passed away and the parade might be in honour of their memories but then I saw Pinkie Pie and it messed up my theory.
Maybe the intent is something else or Pinkie Pie is just screwing around with space and time, did the artist ever say?
Regardless it is a very good piece and the effort put into it must have been great.

Hmmm, I say the other 5 staged a revolution to bring down Celestia as she was starting to greatly abuse her power and wealth marie-antoinette style. They were completely vilified by the Celestian monarchy in a massive propaganda campaign accross all of Equestria. Twilight, of course, remained faithful to her teacher and after many years of chasing and fighting the rebel army, she lost any remaining affection for her former friends.
The tokens are all trophies that she kept for herself after defeating their owner. Rainbow Dash put up quite a fight and the only way to defeat her was for Twilight to employ powerful magic and absorb Dash's entire soul to bury it deep inside her subconscious; a streak of hair being the only side-effect of the fusion... for now.
As for Pinkie-Pie. Well, let's just say Twilight will soon regret assuming you can get rid of Pinkie that easily. And now she's mad.
That's what I think anyway.
edit: oh wait that's her regular hair isn't it. I can't find a rainbow dash token then. It's Waldo all over again
