Hello KDD!

So recently I've gotten into some Korean dramas. I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on my next drama I should watch. I've watched Reply 1997 and City Hunter (both of which I looked first into because I like K-Pop and they had Korean idols in them), and although they are quite different I liked both. I guess I would be looking more for something that is more like an action drama (if that is how you categorize City Hunter). If you guys do want to recommend me some dramas, it would be nice if you could also include a small snippet of why you recommend it!

That's easy, go watch Iris because it's easily one of the best dramas, way more action than City Hunter, it has Kim Tae Hee, and Iris 2 is starting next month.

Hi.

Watched Coffee Prince and really enjoyed it. I think at some time I squealed like a 13 year old girl.
I like the tomboy-image, and was wondering if there are any dramas like CP or another good drama with a tomboy?

If you want a good action drama check out Bridal Mask, it's my favorite.

Speaking of Joo Won dramas, is anyone else watching 7th Grade Civil Servant? I just checked out the first episode and it seems decent. I haven't seen the movie it's based on though.

Secret Garden is pretty popular although I myself couldn't really get into it. There's also The King 2 Hearts which is another Ha Ji Won drama (can you say typecasting?)

Has anyone watched the movie, The Thieves, I read it was a big hit in korea last year and has become the 2nd most succesful movie in korea after Avatar. MIght check out later, from the trailer it looks like the Asian version of Oceans 11.

Well, does anyone have good English subs for it? I'd rather not watch it at all than try and slog through it with crappy subs. Tried looking online, and only found either dramafever which had crappy subs apparently or an srt which didn't give any indication as to what source it was timed to.

AsiaTorrents has it, including 3 different versions of English subtitles, one of which is the official SRT from the dvd.

Iris is definitely a must-see if you like action dramas, Time Between Dog and Wolf was really good as well, and Ghost (also translated as Phantom) is pretty good too.

If you really enjoyed City Hunter though, I'm pretty sure you'd like most of good comedy/romance dramas as well though; it's not like the action scenes were what made City Hunter awesome.

Thanks! You make a good point, and I agree. But after watching that I felt like an action drama would also be fun to watch. I'll definitely check out Iris, and then I'll probably look for another good comedy/romance.

Hey man I watched it in Korea and it was really good would recommend it.

Also how many of you guys have watched/are watching School 2013. Just as I was leaving that was the most popular drama at my school and so I decided to start and it is probably one of my favorites I really like and is kind of relatable I think it gives good stereotypes( a little exaggerated) of Korean students.
