Yeah, i think there would be plenty of stuff to show for affc and adwd.
I mean, sure there aren't as many huge moments in these 2 books than in the rest of the series, but i would say that 10 episodes isn't enough.

Same man... That chapter in Feast where he's fighting on the ship.. Dang. That won me over for him instantly.
But real, they're worried about how they're running out of stuff for Bran, but they could've easily put Cold Hands in the show and had a whole season of them hanging with Cold Hands and I would've been okay with that. Again and again it just feels like they're dumbing down the show for people.

I think people conflate number of pages in the books with actual impact in the story. Of all the Greyjoys only three have any real impact on the overall story (Balon, Theon and possibly Victarion). When you look at it honestly so far all the others are just filler. Same goes with half of Dorne and, frankly, LSH. MAYBE if x or y happen in the next books their true impact will be much greater, but as it stands now that's not the case.
I can understand having so many characters from GRRM's narrative perspective, trying to emulate history and whatnot (since History is built up by mostly small actions by lots of different people). However this approach does not translate well to media outside written media. The TV series has to juggle a budget, people's short attention spans and it's own creative vision of the story when writing the scripts. Of course the result is going to be different from the books.
In any case all this bitching about an unfinished cast for an unfinished series based on unfinished books seems a bit over the top at the moment. Just wait and see.

Sorry but that is just wrong, if balon has relevance then so too does Euron. We dont even know where Euron has really been and his end game plan but we know enough to know that this is all very fishy. Plus the fact he sent the entire fleet to war against the west coast. Hence forcing the tyrells to take dragonstone and as far as we knowed near killed loras tyrell. Which set in motion the final downfall of Cersei and what seems to be the rest of the lannister dynasty since Kevan is dead now too. We dont know the implications of LSH yet, but we know she is hellbent on revenge and Brienne is leading Jamie right to her. You could say that if jamie goes to dorne in the show then she wont be relevant anymore I guess. She is still relevant in the books.
What half of dorne are you talking about? The half that didnt show in that casting video? You mean the heirs to Dorne and the man who nearly killed myrcella which could force Dorne into a war before they want too. At least the leaving out some sandsnakes makes sense from a budget point of view alone.

i think GRRM does a good job of balancing out the major houses. Whenever i had to explain Aoisaf to interested friends, this was one of my arguments, that the story is set up as a traditional centrealized drama, with the center power figure dying, thus giving the opportunity for the 2 sides to fight. And then that is just shattered by the end of book one, and gradually you realize that all the great houses of the 7 kingdoms have their agenda (dont nitpick), and are about as relevant as the initial two sides, Some of them (Tyrells, Martells, possibly soon the Vale, maybe Greyjoys if the Dragon horn works out)actually surprassing the Starks, and now the Lannisters as well, in strength and political position.
I know many wont agree with this, nonetheless I think it's one of the big strengths of the series. Now as u say, it s harder to sell that to a tv audience in 10 episodes/season on a fixed budget, so the TV will keep it more Lannister+Stark centered, but the point is the Martells and teh Greyjoys are impactful, at least in the books, and gonna be more so imo.
And why do u say bitching? Discussing the show/books/theories it's about the only way you can entertain your GoT-desire, it's not over the top, it s not pointless.
Will it produce a result or a useful conclusion, no, but that s not the aim.

All those "filler" pages you are referring to are about to play MAJOR roles in the upcomming books. Unlike all the other characters, they didn't have since book 1 to establish their narrative.
If you look at The Winds of Winter current roster for confirmed view point characters, Victarion/Euron/Theon/Arianne are all in there, and if you look at where their storys end in Dance, how could you say that that's all pointless filler?

The Iron Islands aren't one of the seven kingdoms. Their population is tiny and they have mostly attacked undefended outposts so far. Aside from Theon and Vicatarion, the rest aren't really important. Personally, I found Aeron to be very tiresome and annoying. Same with Euron, unless he's really Pyat Pree in disguise.
Dorne is shaping up to be a major player but they have the smallest population in the seven kingdoms. Doran himself has admitted as much. They don't have a big enough population for many of their houses to play meaningful roles. I would find it strange, though, if they cut Arianne while keeping all the elder Sand Snakes. Arianne just seems more important to the story than all the Sand Snakes.

I do remember Riverlands more or less part of the 7 Kingdoms, with shit like Robert's "Making the 8".

This is correct. For clarity, "The Seven Kingdoms" refers to the way Westeros was divided when Aegon the Conqueror landed. At that time, the king of the Iron Islands had conquered the Riverlands and it was all one kingdom. In the time of ASOIAF, there are nine regions, none of which are kingdoms.

yes, that s what i meant, jsut didnt use the word "region" cuz it's not used ever, in the series. The 7 Kingdoms were named after the 7 u enumarated, but now there are 9, and techinally non of them are kingdoms.
Saying the North or the Iron Ilands or the Westerlands are 1 of the kingdoms is techinally incorrect, but for all intents and purposes they are
