I would have liked it better if he actually listened to Makarov and took everyone away, and FT all try to run away yada yada, they all train to become better instead of always seeing plot armor getting activated, i.e. fight, fight, lose, oh noes, my friends! well it looks like natsu's gonna kick some god-slayer ass now. So now I believe that he has a dragon "god" flame now? Aside from that, I was kind of hoping that he'd run away. Even if it's really a less than happy direction for the manga, It would be a different, but good direction as it isn't always the "fight lose, motivation, win" situation. | ||

To this weeks chapter: Holy shit, Natsu's going all "YOU HURT MY DADDY" Gohan style. It's chapters like this, with the artwork and how it was presented that make me want to sleep all week for next weeks chapter. Yeah, how convenient. I mean, it makes sense that Makarov lost to the second master of the guild, and I don't know how they're going to resolve that. However, if the current protagonists are going to be central to this battle, then they have to go through some epic battle and win in the very end with more skill and heart and whatever. But if Natsu can win his battle with a struggle, then if Gildartz fought these people, he would just pwn face. Everyone's face. Except maybe not the leader dude's face. | ||

Not only that theres a bigass panel just after he told Natsu about losing his arm where you can clearly see its a prosthetic arm. Finished reading the series up to date just a few days ago and its been so good so far. The end of the tower of paradise arc was so amazing, the fairytail fight arc was epic and natsu/gildartz fight was really well done. The thing I don't really understand is why people dislike the nirvana and/or edolas arc so much, i thought they were good in their own ways. | ||
