LAME. + Show Spoiler + Well I don't think she's Grandine, she might just have been an older generation dragon slayer maybe or is some kind of dragonkin herself? (notice the cape that has been bugging me all manga long...). Seems like natsu got a powerup. Was to be expected, but I still can't forgive the author for freezing them in time for 7 years -.-;. Gildarts running away was pretty lame =/ would have been a nice change.

My one gripe with the anime is that Erza is supposed to be this ridiculously strong S-Class wizard but they never show her in any epic fights. She's in tons of fights but they never get any decent screen time. Does she get more showtime in the manga?

Her fight against the elemental Four guy was quite epic, and her story arc in the tower of gerard was also quite cool. The immediately previous arc to all the spoilers had a pretty cool fight for her, i thought. Tbh, I feel lucy is kinda short changed, considering how she does in her fights :D Edit. I have no clue how far the anime is, so didnt spoiler, and tried to be vague. Pretty sure the anime must be after Gajeel and Luvia by now tho...

Anime last I checked was @ alternative world in the sky arc. Prolly fillers or next arc now.

It's currently in the S-Class wizard exams. The most recent episode was the one where Natsu beat Zancrow. And like I said in my previous post, I'm a sucker for spoilers. I'm not at all bothered if someone spoils something for me. I just wanna see Erza and Mira Jane actually unleash in a fight that gets lots of screen time. I'm also very pleasantly surprised at just how badass Wendy can be. Normally the young girls are never competent fighters but Wendy more than pulls her weight in her fights.

Is anyone surprised Mest didn't join FT? He seemed to be really respectful of the guild, seemed like he would have wanted to help and support them in the past years.

This gives everyone a fresh start (as they had pretty much became the strongest guild around) and pretty much resets them back down to the weakest. I just can't see any of them aging and the series being able to survive. Also I just laugh at anyone actually thinking they all died. Called it. Though I didn't really expect the "Core Members" to be as strong (or weak depending on how you view it) as the weaker ones now.

Also, hopefully Lisanna can prove to be useful sometime, that would be nice. Is anyone surprised Mest didn't join FT? Well when Mira and Lisanna were fighting that explody guy, Mira was surprised at how well Lisanna could chain her forms. Apparently going straight from one form to another is extremely advanced. I've always gotten the sense that that entire family is ludicrously powerful it's just that they all have issues that directly inhibit their magical powers. Lisanna does seem to be the healthiest of them.

+ Show Spoiler + The series final battle, will end with Natsu shooting out a Dragon's Roar of every possible element/style that has been fed to him I think this was a good chapter for FT to move forward, you can see probably 2-3 before the next major Arc gets going.

There is so much bullshit it hurts. How many fucking copouts can youd o in one series. probably since the author is pretty famous now, he has some clout. that or kids in japan actually read this

What I don't like are the the fights. First of all the magic is too random for my taste. For example Erza is supposed to be one of the strongest, yet she gets trapped in a card by a weakling or turned to stone by that green haired girl with glasses in a few seconds and could easily be killed by her. That girl is actually totally OP but gets randomly beat by Erza's glass eye and then stops doing anything. The fights themselves are always the same scheme too. Introduction of OP opponents, find a random way to beat the sideshows, then opponent boss gets unbeatable power up but Natsu gets bigger power up and wins. So my question is, an dplease try to avoid spoilers: Will this change in the next arcs? Or is this what people like about the Manga and I am overly critical?
