Well I was talking about the "friendship can stop anything" part. Those who even considered the guys being dead must think they are reading some medieval fantasy books 
The timeskip is ofc also a clasic but it's useful in keeping interest and start fresh off again when the writer is out of ideas, or to end an arc.

The timeskip and changes in the guild were disappointing, but I´m having hopes that the rest of the world has changed a lot. Perhaps the council even miss the wild guild, perhaps the memory-manipulating council agent will have gotten somewhere.

Still, if this was already a manga I hated that would have been the last straw. As a manga that's decent-ish...it's a strike...
I already take issue with the fact that friendship is sometimes crammed down our throats a little too much, and that every arc is about Natsu. But funnily enough, with all my complaints it's probably still a top 5 weekly running manga for me. Wow have my standards fallen or what hahaha
