that honestly makes no sense, because people who read manga for jerk off material, don't need fairy tail for that. There are plenty of much... "better" manga for that. Hell, fairy tail wouldn't even count as a warmup. xD

igneel and the other dragons stayed in the dragonslayers bodys to prevent the dragonification that consumed acnologia, maybe Natsu has spent the time finding a way to undo the process somewhat so he can temporarily dragonify parts of him for more power or something?

Im thinking it has to be something much more powerful and specifically something that counters zeref, for him to be this confident.

Even if he went full-on dragon, he would still lose to zeref.
Now.. having acnologia himself in his arm (imagine the plot-twist if it turns out that natsu defeted acnologia during the year he was away) that would be a more interesting story.
