Have we even met 6 other wizard saints??
The only wizard saints who have legit lost a fight are Jose to Makarov, Makarov to Hades and Jellal to an etherion friendship protection powered up dragon force natsu(make what you will of that).
Jura vs Laxus is by no means disgraceful "loss" as laxus himself would be a wizard saint if not for his attitude and its iffy that Jura was trying his best.
Gildarts is referred to as the strongest mage in the west during Ice Trails but also seems to be a bit of a pain in the ass for the army/council by constantly accidentally destroying things hence why he wouldn't be given a title. The 4th gods age may have effected his physical ability to fight but he is still an immensely powerful person with a quite frankly incredible power that is surely of vast use to whichever side he is on.

Warrod can still have super high magic but low combat potential. Magic doesn't have to have combat applications. Though I would agree he was more trolling them when he said he was weak.

If we are to assume that Zeref can beat the dragon, then it stands to say that Zeref is stronger than Gildarts. If Natsu is to be able to beat Zeref, then Natsu should be exceeding Gildarts sometime soon.

Ah thats assumed? Zeref is the most powerful wizard on the planet ofc he would be superior to Gildarts. We were talking about wizard saints.
Besides, just because Natsu might be the one to finish Zeref of (if the power of love and friendship doesn't convert him and break his curse or w/e 1st) it will most likely be a one off tech or that he is hiding in his arm or just the way Natsu was built (he was created for that purpose).
