I was incredibly excited - in september, and october, and even some of november. With the release date constantly getting pushed back, even though I would consider myself a huge fan, I'd entirely forgotten about the show.

The most interesting thing about the Community writer AMA is that they weren't sure if the last episode of season 4 would be the finale or not. They were planning to do an epic montage for the ending but could not because NBC wanted it to be possible for another season. I have no idea story wise how a 5th season would work and it is definitely not guaranteed. Also Megan said she was disappointed by the last episode because of all the editing and cutting that was done. They also faced similar problems with other episodes that included Chevy accounting for him to be there or for him not being there for example the Christmas Holiday episode was written for Chevy but they had to substitute Ken Jeong in.

I can't stand waiting prolonged periods of time for single 20-24 minute episodes

. If they're this short I need to marathon them all in a row, and I already did that last month T_T

This was a pretty good premiere episode. The Hunger Games aspect was not overpowering and while Abed's storyline which was the focus was not that surprising it was entertaining. It was pretty funny how little Pierce was in this episode which was partly due to Abed envisioning him out which is ironic of course given that he will leave. There were also a lot of small jokes that I liked such as the promos below in Abed TV. I didn't realize Sword Cooks wasn't a real show until Blind/Blonde though I did think "those guys look like Troy and Abed."

The other story lines Britta/Troy and Shirley/Annie felt kind of weak but I there just wasn't enough time for them. If the show was longer or if they had just focused more on a few story lines it probably would have been a stronger story though.

He was basically made the villain for three seasons

. I think he got sick of being the bad guy all the time. Sort of like pierce, multiple times on the show. Heh.

I really enjoyed the premier. It felt cluttered, and faster paced than usual, but it had a bunch of good laughs, and everyone felt on mark. Hunger Deans seems underplayed though,

Why did Chang have Changnesia? I don't recall what happened to him last season. Or does the actor simply like to get naked, like Denni de Vito in It's Always Sunny?
