I think the episode was awesome as south park never seems to dissapoint.
One issue i had with this episode though was that i didn't understand what they were trying to tell us. Does memes suck (Personally i absoulutly despise memes) or are they a fundamental part of humanity that must be kept alive? I just didn't catch the moral sort of :D

Well I kinda feel that Season 3 to 7 were the best days. Then some really great episodes in 10-12, only some though, most of them just had another vibe. Somehow I expect so much from southpark. I still love Matt and Trey, and they obviously are genious. But I kinda feel Southpark loses it appeal Even though this Episode made me lough, something is just different from their old stuff but I cant tell what...

The thing that most killed me this episode was just the fact that they had the original background for the Oh long johnson cat whilst it was inside the box. Hilarious.

Personally, I don't enjoy feeling disappointed. I choose to not get my expectations unreasonably high. I don't picture some "glory days of south park" with nostalgia. I recognize that every single season has good episodes and bad episodes. Season 1 has some of the worst episodes of their entire career in my opinion.
I'm glad south park is focusing more and more on topical episodes. They have a philosophy which never gets voiced anywhere in the popular media.
I find the majority (majority means not all) of the time a person hates a south park episode, they either disagree with the message or they are simply not in on the jokes being made. People who don't know about cat breading, or the TSA changes, or the nanny state debates, or sign twirlers, will find the episode bad. I'm not saying that's everyone, but clearly there are people who are just missing a ton of the jokes and wish they would be purely absurd.

"...but it doesn’t matter as long as you give the audience a song, celebrity bashing, and Republican hopefuls dancing around with boobies..."
Quote at the end of the episode. They write and create these episodes within a 1 week time span and it shows sometimes. Nothing particularly brilliant, but still a decent episode just because South Park characters and voices are so funny. Liked the scene after the kids got into a fight over which meme to do and they go back to get lectured by that guy and he is just slowly loading a revolver in complete silence. Started cracking up just because you know he is about to do something stupid to try to prove a point.

Not making sense and being completely insanely ridiculous is what south park does at its best. Marklaar anyone? If all the marklaars were like marklaar. Then marklaar would not be very marklaar. The marklaars should be more like Jun Jun. I'm sure the French would agree.

It's been a while since I last posted in a South Park and you know what? This sums up my thoughts on how this thread is going. Well said man, well said.

OH MY GAWD :D I loved this episode. First episode this season that actually had my laughing while sitting alone in my living room. This was amazing
The #1 moment for me however was just the tiny part: + Show Spoiler +Go back to the 90's. Faggooowts! I can't explain why, but that had me laughing so hard I had to pause the video.

The point is that politicians and media pander to the dumbest level of humanity.
edit:
Except Ron Paul, who if you noticed was not there on the stage at the end.

The funniest thing for me was the trains coming out of nowhere.

No, they weren't all made up for the episode. The Oh Long Johnson cat was uploaded in 2008, obviously that wasn't created for the episode. Owling has been around for months, as has Tebowing. Cat breading was actually shown on the Colbert Report back in February. You would think at least something that is shown on the Colbert report would become well known, but I guess not...

The cat was uploaded in 2006. Get your facts straight! This shit is important! I believe only Faith Hilling and Taylor Swifting were completely made up for this episode?
Edit. Also this season has been way better than I expected. Really nice to see they still got it after some lackluster seasons. Personal favourite: season 10.

OMG, they excluded Ron Paul from the second debate !
Clearly a secret plot by the NWO to shut him up ! Ron Paul 2012 !

New episode tonight will be Easter related :
South Park's big Easter egg hunt is in jeopardy when there are rumors of a dangerous beast lurking in the woods nearby. Cartman tries to warn everyone that their lives are at risk if they participate in the egg hunt. No one believes him until he produces video evidence of the mysterious being.
Sounds like another episode making fun of Kyle but we'll see soon enough I think. Sounds interesting. I still remember the Easter episode they made about the bunny pope in the past, that was pretty awesome, so I'm hoping they can deliver on this one too.

I'm seriously left thinking the same thing. WTF did I just watch...?

Good episode. Kids being kids like earlier seasons and they didn't have to rely on some random last minute twist like snookie being the jewpacabra to wrap up the episode. More like this Matt and Trey
|
that was bad. Really bad.

Is it just me or is Matt and Trey shipping Kyle and Cartman?
