I'm glad south park is focusing more and more on topical episodes. They have a philosophy which never gets voiced anywhere in the popular media.

I find the majority (majority means not all) of the time a person hates a south park episode, they either disagree with the message or they are simply not in on the jokes being made. People who don't know about cat breading, or the TSA changes, or the nanny state debates, or sign twirlers, will find the episode bad. I'm not saying that's everyone, but clearly there are people who are just missing a ton of the jokes and wish they would be purely absurd.

No, they weren't all made up for the episode. The Oh Long Johnson cat was uploaded in 2008, obviously that wasn't created for the episode. Owling has been around for months, as has Tebowing. Cat breading was actually shown on the Colbert Report back in February. You would think at least something that is shown on the Colbert report would become well known, but I guess not...

South Park's big Easter egg hunt is in jeopardy when there are rumors of a dangerous beast lurking in the woods nearby. Cartman tries to warn everyone that their lives are at risk if they participate in the egg hunt. No one believes him until he produces video evidence of the mysterious being.
