Don't know how popular they are but the N'Shukugawa Boys are incredible. Best Japanese band I've ever listened to I think. Their album Planet Magic is all good (song not from the album though). Video is pretty good too.

And this is ostooandell, much more laid back and chilled. Another one of my favourites.

I posted a few videos from World's End Girlfriend on the previous page. It's actually just one guy (Katsuhiko Maeda) and I think he's basically a mad genius.

Easily my favorite Japanese artist but I guess it takes a somewhat odd musical taste to enjoy him since he spans so many different genres.

Anyway, discovered this yesterday and wow, this is probably the most amazing thing I've heard this year, looking forward to the release on the 25th.

Why did she finish it badly? Wasn't it just a good bye concert or? Seems fine to me..
Didn't Aya Ueto do like 4 albums or something? That's what I can remember anyway, I think she even had a best of released. I think she had a real music career at one point and not just for PR but I guess she went the actress route in the end, shame :/

On the other hand, I don't really know Ueto Aya, the little I heard from her sounded horrible but it looks like it didn't stop people buying her stuff. According to Wikipedia she is spending most of her time acting and selling wedding dresses... which probably means she wasn't selling a lot of cds. x)

i heard maki goto had problems with her recording label or something.

ueto aya was an idol which means that they made her do everything (sing/act/model) but now she's mostly an actress and CM queen. i heard her last movie with abe hiroshi was pretty funny.

My hunt for more Goto Maki continues

But I'm unable to find any social media where she updates stuff.. Anyone know if she got twitter or anything? Found some old accounts but no updates in a long time. I know she is inactive but that doesn't mean you gotta disappear of the planet

Nana Mizuki announced she'll release a new album later this year! So excited! Impact Exciter was over 2 years ago o.o As long as it actually has new songs and not just a collection of the 5+ singles she's done in the last 2 years lol. Well, she already confirmed one new song but hoping for a lot more :3
