does anyone know of any good Japanese Jazz musicians? I really like some of the artists like Chihiro Yamanaka and Uehara Hiromi. Hiromi's music especially is pretty interesting, if there are more Japanese jazz artists (or jazz artists from any country really) that make similar music I'd be happy to hear about them.

Mmm, do you like Jazzy Hip-Hop at all?

If so, I can certainly recommend some. (Keep in mind that the majority of the songs are purely instrumental).

SOIL & "PIMP" Sessions (posted on the previous page) are fucking godly. I like to listen PE'Z also, but this is a bit more of a pop-jazz kind of music, easy to listen and joyful tracks.

Hey circos, can you recommend me some good post-rock artists. So far, all I've been listening to is Mono. Need more post-rock in my life. One of the best post-rock band I've heard of my life is té. Their last album on TJC is a bit worse, but their indie albums are absolutely wonderful. I really need to get all of them as soon as I have some money to invest, 'cause they're hard to find on the internet.
The only only annoying thing is that they kind of use the name of the track as lyrics, so it's absolute garbage for non-japanese speakers. I think they released one or two albums in the US with english titles but it may be hard to find...

I don't generally like "generic" bands like this, but ONE OK ROCK is a pretty good band.
I think it is kind of funny the singer used to be part of the pop group NEWS.

These days I'm deep into the Kpop but a long time ago I was into Jpop and I randomly stumbled upon a video of my old super super favorite Maki Goto! From what I can remember she released her latest album and then she was supposed to go on a break(?) Does anyone know if she still is or if there are plans to return? Damn I miss this chick thinking about it, gonna have to go on memory lane on youtube soon.

I was also heavy into Aya Ueto and I took a quick glance at her wiki and it said latest album was released in 2009.. Is she pretty much done with music these days and just acting/commercials like before or what's the deal with her?
