So now I have no idea how old she is. On October 28 2011 16:32 fr0d0b0ls0n wrote: Great to see a thread about Jpop in TL. I love Melt Banana. Technically they are supposed to be noise punk, but they call themselves "pop" and they are japs. So why not? I recorded this piece at the concert in Boston, they played at T.T the Bear's. Please don't watch if you are sensitive to phone recordings (camera finally focused at 0:40). Just trying to highlight the atmosphere (Boston has probably one of the better crowds in the US) + Show Spoiler + Actual live video of decent quality:

![]() I went to a Miyavi concert last Sunday. First thing I saw was a person cosplaying as a lolita. I was there early so I listen to some random group playing music until he came out. Then he came out with his drummer Bobo. People took out their cameras and cellphones to take photos. He played his newer songs in the beginning. Then he played some songs from his album MYV Pops. After he went off stage for a while. Bobo kept us entertained until he went back on stage. Then he talked about missing his daughter Jewelie and wish he could bring her on tour. He got back on stage and threw some water at the audience. Played Are You Ready To Rock and three more songs(finishing Sai sai sainara Bye Bye Bye) before saying goodbye. It was very short like two hours long. I didn't feel well during the concert. My body felt really heavy and I couldn't move my arms up to cheer without feeling pain, but I had fun still. I thought his usage of the synthesizer was awesome. I actually thought about going to his concert again the next day in Seattle, but remember I had to work early on Tuesday. I would like to request some recommendations of artists, or songs from people here(prefer bands). I'll list the artists I still listen/follow and the ones I don't follow anymore. I've been listening to Japanese music since 2001 and have enjoyed every release until 2007 where all form of entertainment start sucking. So chances are I haven't heard it if it is newer than 2007 unless listed under follow. + Show Spoiler + Follow/Listen: 19 Ai Otsuka ALI PROJECT Amano Tsuki Aya Hamasaki(all songs before 2007) Aya Hirano(everything before 2010) Aya Kamiki BoA(only listen to her Japanese songs) Chatmonchy CROW'SCLAW Denkare Dir En Grey Do As Infinity Gaingauge Girls Next Door Girugamesh GLAY Hangry & Angry HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR Hitomi Shimatani Hitomi Takahashi HYDE Janne Da Arc KOTOKO Kishida Kyoudan L'arc en Ciel Mai Kuraki MARIA Melody Miyavi Miyu Nagase Morning Musume(only follow because I have Reina's and Risa's blog bookmark + the fact I provided most info on H!O's ZONE sub-forum) Nana Mizuki Nana Tanimura Perfume Scandal Studio "Syrup Comfiture" Sweets Tomoko Kawase(The Brilliant Green, Tommy February, Tommy Heavenly) Utada Hikaru X-Japan Yosei Teikoku Younha(only listen to her Japanese songs) ZONE(favorite) Used to/Listened: AAA(only Samurai Hearts and the song release in December of 2006) Abingdon Boys School AKB48(only heard Aitakatta) An Cafe Arashi AZU BeForU Crystal Kay Eu Phoria Exile Gackt Hinoi Team HIP!(most) K Kinki Kids Koda Kumi Leah Dizon M-flo Maximum the Hormone Mika Nakashima Nozomi Sasaki(only heard that song for that bubble gum ad) Orange Range Speed The Gazette Under17 Uverworld YUI

They call all their music pop, as long as it's not traditionnal music. ![]()
