Day9 always just comes off a super fake and putting on an act and it shows way too obviously especially next to the analysts being themselves Yeah day9 does seem fake but knowing him from starcraft I feel like he really is just that enthusiastic, but it just doesn't gel with these mellow analysts.

Think you're making a mistake in saying "over the top" is "fake" for Day[9]. I think that's who he is, and it's hard to polish that to the point where it works in a role where you're expected to lead a discussion. Jon Gruden (NFL coach and current football commentator) is a similar example of a guy who's all hype, and he's practically a meme when he attempts serious panel stuff outside games but he knows and loves the game. I've said repeatedly that Day[9]'s more of a natural caster and I'd love to see him try that out. He's a decent host, but it's not a natural fit.

I had the same problem with Redeye. I still think Sheever and Dakota should be given the hosting reigns after Valve threw them under the bus at Shanghai. "Hey, you're hosting now!" "Oh.....with no prep work or anything at all? Uhhh sweet?"

But our analysts are very level headed in the scene so having someone who is forced and has the dial cranked to 11 isn't going to mesh well. If the little "story" of them having to walk a few minutes and being surprised that there are already lots of kills is already "cranked up to 11" then i am not sure what to tell you. These "analysts" are just incredibly bland and are bad at reacting to anything. Yes sometimes day9 might get a little too excited (i don't think it's fake at all) but in most cases his panel simply reacts incredibly awkward to anything.

Poll: Who's better at leading the TI panel? Machine (20) Day[9] (10) 30 total votes Your vote: Who's better at leading the TI panel?

He's completely different from who he was back in the day. There's a point in time he decided he wanted to be clean cut so he became a test tube personality. Gruden is garbage too, Tobi as well. I don't like that forced ridiculous personality. There's nothing natural about it.
