I just want to point out that the upper tree in both winner and lower bracket is much crueler than the lower one.
Since Liquid lost against IG, they must face Secret and the winner will face Empire/EG. The likely scenario is Liquid vs EG, but the main point is, 2 teams with highest profile (not necessarily the best one) will fall at 8 round. Not to mention after this grueling series, they will face the loser of IG vs Newbee again.
It is much easier at lower tree since the high profile teams are VP, LGD, and OG (if they do not choke).
They wont face Newbee/IG again, it resets remember, so the it will be LFY/VP/TNC/LGD to face them in LBR4 But yes i agree with you none the less XD oh EG how u made it hard for yourselves
I think both parts of the tree are equal if you just take into account the last year of dota and the games played in the group stage instead of the whole history of dota.
Both LGD games will be clean sweeps, but the LB games will be really interesting. Liquid and EG should both be favored, 60/40, but can totally see some upsets there.
I'm here at my first TI; the atmosphere is amazing! I can't wait for today, although I'm really upset that there's no true underdogs left this year.
Excited for what this tournament does for the future of Dota 2; Infamous and Execration played probably their worst games of the tournament on the main stage. The crowd here is really behind EG, but there's a lot more of a Chinese contingent than I expected. Cheering for that Kaka play got me some looks from others in the crowd next to me.
Looking forward to some fun games today! I hope TnC keeps the upset streak in the upper bracket alive. LGD vs VP is probably as even as it gets too.

TnC is an underdog team I would say. Although they're actually good which may disqualify them from being underdogs.
