Were their games any better at one point, or has everyone else just gotten faster at the game since the 2013 glory days?

You tend to back into your comfort zone when you are afraid to lose. How do Alliance win when you have loda on drow yet bulldog on a low-skill team hero Luldaaaaa

Depends on whether Loda got caught by storm or actually was ganked by a bunch of Fnatic heroes.

Had EG rolled Alliance 2-0 as they should have had they actually tried half as hard as they did against Newbee, Alliance would be in lower bracket now.

I found their heyday games exciting and smart and they have produced insane games which are fun. Heck they played fun dota in their one peak from WCA to Starladder this year last xmas which was decent. This is just game losingly passive.

Alliance worked in groupstage to get to the point where the EG match would make or break their group standing, so the phrase you used is incorrect and derogatory. Not even mentioning the fact that you really could give [A] at least some credit for the EG game.
