It is not trivial when the game is so diverse that stylistic gameplay is allowed to exist. OG picked an opponent they obviously thought they had the number of. It even benefits DC, as they have a winning record vs Wings and are confident vs them. How do you think Portugal won the Euros.

The thing I could agree with Fiwi is that I think WINNING the entire group stage actually should give you an advantage. I don't agree with his sentiment on MVP doing so poorly thus being undeserved of being in the winners since the teams below MVP flopped so hard but it's a little strange that winning your group just boils down to picking between the 3rd and 4th place teams.

I think doing the best in your group and having the choice of opponent is enough of an incentive to crush it though. :/

Yes, I understand, and hence why I replied that it wasn't worth mentioning. My main argument is that a 4th place and 1st place team in a group stage that takes 3 days shouldn't start on the same footing, and I think rewarding people who do well in groups is a good idea. TI4 was bad because by the main event, we knew which four teams would be in the top 6, and after one day we knew 2 of the top 3. In this format, all you know is that 2 of the 4 of the 1 and 2 positions in groups will get top 4. It's a mix of both, and gives more weight to groups.

I think if you saw one tournament with it, you'd be like wow, this is so simple. Honestly, this is one of the easier brackets to understand out there.
