I have always thought PPY as a chess like drafter, that tries to get inside the head of the opponent, rather than innovative drafter. And it has left him not getting meta very well several times.

The rules will have to be fleshed out after TI or changed completely. Where do you see any rules about how valve handles invites for TI? There isn't any set rules on how they are given. They switch players during the allotted time they can switch players. They've played by the rules Valve has given them. That's just to QUALIFY for a direct invite. Meaning if you don't follow those you must go through open qualifiers. That doesn't mean if you change teams we will view success of your old team as success of your current team. Thats just fucking dumb to assume valve would think like that. It might annoy you, but that's how they're going to do it. Having a "stable" roster is forced by Valve now. Secret's roster is just as stable as anyone else. They won a major, they're getting an invite. The only thing they are stable are 1) sucking tremendously; 2) casters still sucking their dicks. That's cool. But they've abided by all rules up till this point. The Major system is made to feed into TI. If you don't think at the very least the WINNER of each major is getting a direct invite to TI (Provided they don't change now post lock) I don't know that you can be reasoned with.
Or they started having the majors so they don't feel they need to invite a team that won a tournament 1 year ago and now is a dumpster fire (newbee). So, just like in CSGO, the only major that matters for the invites is the last one.
