nahaz with the stats .. seriously though rtz isn't impressive because he can farm he is impressive cause he can farm while being under pressure most of the time (that's like his signature as a player getting ganked , being dual laned and shit)

When did Secret pick AM?

last pick

so smart

wasn't really a draft win

430 lost his lane way too hard against s4, he's a super veteran and knew he didnt have any support, should have just played super safe

luo probably shouldnt have died solo either, but I imagine he doesnt have 1v1 experience against tusk

The other 2 lanes outside the aggro trilane really screwed IG's early game momentum. Maybe it would of been a different game if it went better those 2 lanes, but I dunno.

yeah it's impressive although he may need really strong cores like the rtz AM

Secret look so tough to beat. Early on I thought iG was doing pretty well, but didn't shut down the AM and had no real way to handle him. Well played by RTZ.

Am was shut down hard early on .. he could not even hit a creep he was just baiting them to stun and he was gonna dodge it with blink most of the time

although the secret space creation was pretty good afterwards

Considering that 4 minutes in AM had more money than bristleback, i would say that AM was not shut down.

It's undenniable that he was having a hard time top, and bristle just died to the tusk in bot (for some reason?) so the comparison its not totally legit maybe

that was on luo's fault i'm not sure how he lost really hard to a tusk lane

also compared to BB he was really having a tough lane top unless you disregard the fact that he just dies when goes close to the creepwave

he needs to deliver at TI though before people will be behind him completely. Hard to forget that Naga game where he got ganked a zillion times. But I guess Puppey and the others can steer him on Secret, help with positioning?

aside from that, he creates pressure more efficiently than any other carry, farming in the most dangerous but still safe locations and finding picks

You feel they're less irritating because Alliance's good run began from February straight until TI, but Secret's good run only began from May when they finally snatched the first LAN title.

yea storm can't do what am did this game to split up ig

am cuts creeps / pressures lanes efficiently, storm picks out-of-position heroes efficiently, they're very different qualities

Storm's fully capable of cutting waves and importantly making plays during that period of time when AM is weak.

It didn't matter this game only because iG completely fucked up their early game.

storm can't escape nearly as easily; one venge wave on a kotl recall and he's dead

What ought to have happened for iG was - their trilane prevents AM from farming for 10-15 minutes, then they push towers and AM has to split because he's useless in fights, then KOTL base defense while iG farms around the map and then brute forces through AM with their late game cores after Leshrac gets a sheep.

Instead AM had free farm for 10-15 minutes because they had to rotate mid in order to prevent SF from becoming completely useless. Got ahead by 5-10k $ at 20-25 minutes, and then took over the game before iG is able to farm items.

I think IG panicked and broke their lanes too early, their trilane started dominating but instead of pushing their only advantage they went left and right helping mid and bot, losing a lot of time.

his laning stage was super good though ,, he was pushing naga to the limit and he won against a lich-LS dual lane i don't think anybody can easily do that

that was xiao8 on doom mate ..that was nothing but xiao8 smart rotations that rekt him so hard if you watched naga has to farm and he was doing it on the dire jungle which was not safe since he's whole team was radiant most of the time

This. I've never been a fan of ratting, and it was beyond frustrating watching it so often in 2013.

Long story short: iG had the cards to play with after draft, but fucked up at laning stage. AM pick was pretty good though.

yeah alliance won through resource management/ strategy
Secret just flat out outplays teams even with worse drafts
Why I think it won't be surprising if they won't win TI- they rely on skill a lot more than Alliance did and you can always have a bad day/game

are you sure a 3rd place run at DAC is bad ? that doesn't sound bad to me considering it's the second biggest tournament of the year(TI year) for a first showing .. but if you put hype on their roster surely it's not enough
