But, if they commit to gank a zeus, solo offlane timbersaw, weaver or other solohero for that matter, the chance that -whatever-boots are gonna make a difference between dying or surviving until 8 minutes ingame is questionable. Zeus and timbersaw have around 290 bootless ms at lvl1. I dont know if boots also affect the turnaroundspeed and stuff like that, but a 15% movement increase doesnt feel to counter an early pre 8 minutegank in most of my games (lowlevel games but still). I tend to think that i die mostly due too bad positioning and adjusting (or call it gamesence) and less too raw movementspeed. It's not just about escaping a gank. Why can't you get this. It's about everything that happens in the game outside of farming a free lane. That 50 MS impacts the most basic aspects of the game in terms of positioning and movement.
It's like you're not reading what I said at all.
Also, just to make note of this: buying Eul's first for regen on Zeus is just silly. Arcanes + Staff of Wizardry actually gives almost equivalent regen to a naked Eul's, while also being better during the buildup AND giving you +max mana as well.

you cant use euls to replace boots. you need boots on every hero. euls on top of boots is another story, and i for one think it is perfectly viable on timbersaw if you need a set up skill. im a huge fan of going phase euls blink/force (or both depending on how much i need them) on zeus as well. the mobility is great on him and as you said euls lets you flash farm to an extent. however, the important thing is that i dont skip boots. walking around with base movespeed until you finish euls is really bad. timber you could make an argument for because he has timberchain to move around, but without arcanes he wont have the mana to support timberchain spam for mobility, so youll need to get boots anyway. bottomline is euls cant replace boots

If I were to account flashfarming with spells into my itembuild, i'd go Arcane Boots anyday over Euls. They are the most cost-efficient mana item in the game, especially on non-int heroes. For the price of full Eul you can get Arcanes, Bottle AND Soul Ring, and then you can keep clearing the whole jungle and still be able to countergank / assist a push/ etc.

You can't use Timber Chain every time you want to hit the other guy in lane to punish him for lasthitting. If you have boots advantage or even boots parity you can use it to punish lasthits by right-clicking the other guy (which you want to do as Timber because Reactive Armor basically negates creep damage for you, allowing you to punish lasthits like this against melees), fight back on harass that would otherwise be free, etc. These things happen often enough and sudden enough in the context of laning that there's absolutely no way that you could use 4s CD Chain or 6s CD Shukuchi every time you're going to punish a lasthit/harass.
Laning isn't just hitting creeps unless you're in a 100% free safe lane, and in any case other than that, Boots makes a huge difference.

how would one draft Sniper as offlane in CM ? What bans and other synergy hereos would do good with him?
|
Bans would probably emphasis gap-closers and strong gankers like storm and nightstalker, while synergistic heroes would probably be along the lines of heroes that your opponent doesn't want to engage into, like tidehunter.

is there any item protection thing? must i watch replay or always keep attention?
some fuck in my team hid my item when it was being delivered

I don't know if there's any, but you may try to check the disable help button. And yes you should always keep attention

I was playing CM and my mate drafted me Viper for the position 1. What items should I build given that I'm the hard-carry guy?
|
heres a rough list mek, bkb, aghanims, manta, butterfly, heart, daedulus, mkb, treads, travels, blink, shadowblade, ac take your pick out of the above depending on the game, but those are probably the most probably item choices for a position 1 viper

If an onmniknight and meepo are on the same team, Does omniknight's ultimate affect only the meepo's in range or will it affect all of them if one is in range
|
only affects the ones in range

Since the New gold change (GPM) and the change to tower gold and new killing etc.
Does the standard timings for items still apply?
14-15 min BF AM 20 min Radiance Doom/naga/PL 19-20 min Linkens Morph/naga/weaver
Or did the changes made those earlier? Because yesterday i got midas-radiance with Naga (yes, the midas is not optimal, but i needed the levels since it was a trilane) in 20 minutes, and i dont know, i missed some creeps too and we had only 1 tower taken.

standard is aquila, treads, mek, agh. If game gets much longer than this you are in trouble with a Viper that is #1. Emphasis on early fights and 5-man dota.

Viper isn't a real hard carry. He doesn't have a real late game skills. He doesn't have a big survival skill. He doesn't have a real big dps skill. He doesn't have great stat gain.
But he offer a huge laning power (especially against a melee mid hero) and an extremely powerful timing. When he got his mek as 1st position he offers his team a big slow, reliable damage against towers and resistance against bursts. After he get his aghs he also offers a long range, very low cd initiation. But after aghs his strength starts to fall apart.
When i play viper as #1 i generally pass aquila. Rush to PT and Mek. RoA's bonus armor helps a lot but your supports should buy it to get your mek 1-1.5 minutes earlier. After mek, you must get advantage of pushing power and using tower gold for snowballing.
I hope this helps.

if you want to see a good viper the game i link is xboct playing as #1 viper.

Does mirana outlane troll?
Had a solo safelane troll that ended up lvl6 when mirana was like 9. He didn't even die, just got no levels.
I was a nyx and tried to roam assuming he would do ok because eleventy-billion-dmg. Game was hard in various ways, but the other team told me I should have camped his lane instead of ganking.

Troll is a strong solo laner. With safe lane vs. off-lane advantage, he should handily come out ahead of Mirana, but it shouldn't be enormous.
That said, I'd argue that the most impactful thing for you to do would have been to farm, to be honest. I haven't seen the game, so this isn't 100% certain, but Nyx's solo roaming power is actually fairly unreliable pre-6 (it's much better with a 2nd support but solo smoking with Nyx is pretty questionable). You'd want to pull creeps and level faster, because when you get your level 6 as support Nyx is extremely critical. As far as impacting the lane, the only way you'd be able to really apply pressure is if Mirana blows her Leap CD haphazardly and exposes herself to a kill attempt. Otherwise, a melee support in a ranged vs. ranged lane where the enemy has an escape and won't die unless they fuck up is going to be more impactful pulling creeps. You can't exactly walk into the lane and harass her, and trying for a kill will fail unless she wasted Leap or got harassed low enough and doesn't want to use regen.
|
depends on miranas items really, if she gets sustain stuff like soulring or bottle crow she can win the lane.

Thanks for the answers guys, much appreciated. But I think I should quit playing the hero, I suck at ranged heroes somehow
