How much would a mid build differ from a lane build? If you're playing some pubs, i can recommend midlane or 2v2 lane with support with stun or high dps like Skywrath Mage. Builds are almost same probably, except thing that you're getting bottle in mid. Basilius will be more than enough for you on other lane. Get something like phase boots or pt, lothar, armlet or bkb, or both, then dps items like buriza or mkb or sustain if you're struggling. Tuskar doesn't really care about his items, he's still dealing ridiculous damage after 6. About builds, you can max Q and E, if you're bullying opposition, but usual build is maxing Q-W i guess, with some points in sigil at 4 or 8 lvl. When you want to win really hard.
Don't listen to him. Just pick him like Loda and be a snowballing carry (pun intended).

I never play Viper that is why i have a question. Can nethertoxin and poison attack be used in the same attack? The reason i'm asking is that nethertoxins description is "Nethertoxin causes Viper's normal attack to deal bonus damage" and poison attack is apparently magic damage but "Intensifies Viper's venom, adding an effect to his normal attack that slows attack and movement speed while dealing damage over time. "

Nethertoxin is a passive that applies on all attacks, including Poison Attack orb attacks. It's neither an orb nor a buff placer, so it stacks with everything else.

Nethertoxin is passive and always applies if you have it levelled. AFAIK it isn't stopped by anything including BKB.
Poison Attack is a castable (and autocastable) orb so it applies whenever you cast it. It overrides other modifiers like lifesteal and desolater. It cannot be used on magic immune targets.

Is there any way to figure out who partied up with who aside from the post game box?

Steam accounts, dotabuff or dota2 profiles just. But nowdays people are too shy to show their mmr because of it 95% of profiles are totally closed.

is there any way to setup autoconfig so that summons have auto attack on but your main hero doesn't?
i've tried messing around with binding auto attack on/off to hotkeys but afaik that setting seems unified across all your guys. it's a long shot but anybody have an idea?

What is the best way to deal with a start where you know an enemy will be jungling? I always play with 2 friends so I can rely on somewhat teamwork. Should I just go to his jungle and plant sentries? Should I try to kill him assuming I can? Often times at my level (not trench but not pro) someone who straight jungle gets away with being unchecked.
|
well you could let him jungle and exploit the advantage in lanes
|
depends on who the jungle hero is and who you are but generally its not worth going to their jungles to disrupt farm unless your farm is being heavily disrupted.

buy sentrys and observer wards and block 4(5 if the jungler is on radiant side) camps right at the start. This messes up the whole laning stage for the enemy team if they don't have sentrys. In my mmr area (~4k) it is quite uncommon for supports to have sentrys if there is no invis hero. If they deward you, you can send a support or other heros that don't require much farm (bounty for example) to their jungle to contest the junglers farm, you don't really have to kill him just being there stealing his exp, threatening to kill him if the gets low is enough.
/E but it is only worth it if their jungler is a core hero like a lycan. You don't want to go all out for a chen or something.

You don't have to block camps with sentries, the best thing to do is put 1 obs ward for rune, and the other in the middle of the jungle to see when they're low. Sometimes people put all their wards in the enemy jungle and then their own jungle has no vision, and that's where the opponent finds farm.

u used to be able to buy like 5 couriers and hide them in the enemy jungle for infinite creep blocking as long as they didnt' find them

why is venge getting so little attention in pro dota? venge seems like a decent support, reliable stun, minus armor, buffs the carrys dmg, can safe people and initiate seems like a good support no?

And the stun is instant, so not or not easily dodgeable like alch stun.

I like playing her in pubs because she boosts the whole team's physical damage output considerably, and she can semi-carry later on if you happen to get a lot of gold. However, the stun duration is relatively short, she suffers from mana problems and doesn't contribute all that much in the laning phase.
|
Her stun is surprisingly short range, she's not that fast which means she kinda needs someone else to set up her own stun as a followup for ganks. She also adds little as a traditional babysitter and doesn't jungle well compared to some other supports. She also really needs level 11 at least, for the level 2 swap range during midgame, something that can be hard to come by.
