My reasoning is if I am ganking with someone a little longer slow time wont make a difference and damage reduction and atack speed simply seems better for team fights. If in team fights I would have the luxury of just making a gaint circle around the enemy while tethered I would be maxing Tether first.
I want to know what skill build is best. Your build is right. Those guides are out of date.

You're reasoning is fine.
It's hard to recommend overcharge as second maxed skill because it hurts yourself. Guides are often aimed at, bluntly said, bad players. Treat guides as though they were suggestions.
Also there is no single best skill build. Dota is too unpredictable to find one build that is the best in every single situation.

Tether one time is more than enough. Notail was maxing W-E even when tether had stun.
So you're doing good.

I missed the game that LD and Merlini are talking about, so can somebody explain to me this shadow shaman strategy that only works on dire that they keep talking about?

Only thing that comes to mind is the SS soloing roshan with ulti trick. Thats not Dire specific, but it is a lot easier due to rosh pit placement.

rosh cant walk through the shaman ult, so you can trap him and solo him from the distance without taking any damage. and since dire can walk there very easily, its easier to do from that side.

And rosh keeps trying to walk towards shaman without trying to kill the wards in his way?

I guess its to make interaction with viper's corrosive skin work correctly. It probably isn't very easily fixable without screwing up that.

Shadow deamon is one of the few supports can still have a strong impact in late game. Illusions can siege, ulti can pierce bkb, damage amp is a fing %50 more damage. He is very good just outnerfed a little bit before 6.79

When do pick Slark in a CM game?

Looking to play with Tusk. Where is the best place to play him? How much would a mid build differ from a lane build?

If you're playing some pubs, i can recommend midlane or 2v2 lane with support with stun or high dps like Skywrath Mage.
Builds are almost same probably, except thing that you're getting bottle in mid. Basilius will be more than enough for you on other lane. Get something like phase boots or pt, lothar, armlet or bkb, or both, then dps items like buriza or mkb or sustain if you're struggling. Tuskar doesn't really care about his items, he's still dealing ridiculous damage after 6.
About builds, you can max Q and E, if you're bullying opposition, but usual build is maxing Q-W i guess, with some points in sigil at 4 or 8 lvl.

When you want to win really hard.

lane build and mid build is pretty much the same. don't get basilius, get a bottle on side lane anyway usually q>w>e, try to avoid leveling sigil early. snowball growth sucks but it's aoe and it's pretty strong in teamfights generally bottle + phase/treads + wand + drums (optional urn / oov / medallion) > lothars, deso, and/or bkb tusk is really good at smoke ganks and tp ganks because shards + snowball is so long range, so try to kill things early-midgame if you can

snowball is a great counter-initiation skill
it's a great spell for baiting stuns (like concoction) and then going in with impunity

What would happen if Rubick dueled an LC that's already in a duel? Would LC keep hitting her original target, Rubick, or both?
I managed to steal duel a few times, but I was never sure if it was smart to do that.

LC finishes the duel with the original target.

Sorry... wrong thread wrong everything...

Can I do the same by setting up a wall of veno wards in front of him?
EDIT: Damn, I just realized I could edit this new, on-topic post, onto the previous one. Sorry.
