I would leave level 2 unskilled, if you can firefly them down fine, but it's often more likely you can right click them down using flamebreak to get them closer. Before the flamebreak change, you could easily cliff them if you knew the mechanics well, but now it's much harder distance and direction. At level 3, a lot of players go sticky if it's a farm war (and you can rely on one stack to farm if they have a magic wand). If you're trying to get rune control, you might want firefly. If you decide to gank, more sticky is useful if it's a solo hero, if your team is engaging like 3 people, then leveling firefly gives you the most dps. If you can't get close, you might have to level flamebreak. I really like leveling firefly, because of the fast neutral creep farming.

1-1-1 at level 3 means Flamebreak + Firefly uses like 2/3 of your mana, and you need full mana basically to use Flamebreak+Firefly+Ulti+some Napalm stacks at 6. Batrider's mana costs are all flat, so this becomes less of a concern later, but at early levels, there's a good argument for delaying Flamebreak till like level 7+ because of how much mana it costs. You cannot dive or zone someone off a wave on tower this way because if you have to right click them you have no dive threat because you won't out-fight a tower at level 2. The deadliness of the Batrider level 2 dive is that Bat can kill you most of the way without right-clicking you and therefore not take tower aggro. Even if the enemy doesn't let you get enough stacks to straight-up kill them, they have to respect the dive threat if you have Firefly at level 2, which means that you can zone them off tower XP. If you take Flamebreak, you have to autoattack them to kill them, meaning that their tower is basically safe for them.

Tested on a naked windrunner, mkb did 1000 more damage than Daedalus over the entire duration. However, Daedalus would do better than mkb if windrunner had damage items. MKB is just a static 100 bonus damage, Daedalus scales. On September 23 2013 02:40 GtC wrote: Also, is it possible to get a crit and a minibash at the same time, and if so, does the crit add the minibash damage into the calculation? Yes it is possible, no the mini-bash is not calculated with the crit. Example, you crit for 400. You crit + mini-bash, the 100 bonus damage is a separate addition, meaning you will deal 500 damage. Much like Shadow Blade, the bonus damage isn't a calculated with the crit, so your crit isn't any higher it's the same as before, and the bonus dmg is applied after. Yes, he will be silenced and unable to throw it. Maxes the nuke first, but not leveling it except for possible utility until after you have ult. Napalm and Firefly are for lane, then maxing the nuke when you start roaming gives you stronger ganks.

I was just wondering if an mkb is better because you get so many minibashes from windrunner's ult.

Ha no problem. ![]() If you ever want to test these things yourself, here is the method: Open Dota and create a lobby. Pick any slot. Go to settings and check Enable Cheats, uncheck bots. That way it's just you. Start game. Once you're in game, you can use cheat commands to create the scenarios you want to test. Here are the commands: + Show Spoiler + -gold 99999 You can put any number but this will max you out making it easy to test items. -lvlup 25 Again, you can put any number but this will max you out making it easy to test skills. -levelbots 25 This is to level up heroes you create -createhero lina You can put any hero name here -createhero lina enemy It will create an enemy lina for example -allvision In case you want to see everything -wtf all spells now have no mana cost or cooldown -unwtf turns spells back to normal -refresh Fills hp and mana and refreshes cooldowns for all -respawn instantly respawns yourself -givebots item_black_king_bar gives bots the desired item Happy testing!

Obviously you can only watch one game at a time, but if there's dead-time in one it would be nice to switch to the other.

If that is the case, then would something that takes you out of the radius, like blink, still proc upon leaving the aura radius, or would it proc upon entering it? Procs upon leaving, not entering. The reason why is because the cast animation is spent before leaving the radius, so if you blink out it will still proc. If you blink in from the outside, nothing will proc because you casted already while not under its affect. So remember it's not spell animation, it's cast animation (on most heroes it's less than half a second).
