He's pretty mana hungry On another note I wanna check if anyone knows how heaven's halberd interacts with ghost scepter My intuition says it should work fine on a ghost scepter'd target and should go through it as well, but i don't know for sure. Can anyone confirm?

Since it offers 25 to all stats as well as Raw HP and mana, the heroes who want it are those that essentially benefit from the intelligence and mana. Everybody can use the tankiness in some situations, and the agility naturally fits with right-clickers of all versions (doesn't matter what your main stat is since it gives 25 all) but the int and mana are generally wasted. So its a reasonable choice on heroes who need the int. Heroes like: QoP when going semi-carry, Dusa (obviously), Morphling, and that is kinda about it. Mirana can use it sorta but her stat gain is so bad that she needs more damage for her gold most of the time. SF can use it but realistically his mana use is more early game and by the time you have skadi you'd rather just more damage or more tankiness. Its OK on spectre for the mass-slow but she doesn't really need the mana too badly (regen is more improtant than raw mana for her). Its actually probably quite good on bounty if you are going for a more utility build and skipping deso. I suppose its hypothetically decent on nature's prophet for tankiness and secondary utility vs a BKB carry but you need so many items on him already I'm not sure what slot you would replace. I'm kinda struggling to come up with any other heroes it would really be worth it on. Like, it kinda fights with satanic for a really tanky and a bit of damage item, but satanic is FAR more tank and the lifesteal is so good and all you give up is a bit of mana really since satanic gives some mild damage/armor. And the slow but w/e.

so basically what I'm wondering, is higher bracket one big pot, like is once you get into higher bracket that is the highest your MMR can go, OR if i keep playing and improving will i start to get even better people to play against. also another question is, if i start to do captains mode is that where most of the good players play, or is all pick just fine. Basically i just want to improve more by playing better people and I'm wondering if i am stuck until valve makes an actual match making system

This might sound weird as well but the first week where I went from Normal -> High MMR, I had a noticeable decrease in the player skill base. So don't mind the 'MMR' ratings too much and just focus on yourself, you'll end up against better players as you go on.

SC2 is easy because you have a few clear measures as to how good a player is (the highest of them being that SC2 is a 1vs1 game). That's not the case with Dota, it simply has too many variables. A person can end a game with 600gpm, 700xpm, 15 kills 0 deaths and the truth would be that it's mostly because of his support(s). A player might be amazing with one hero and trash with another, or he might just have a weakness vs Pudge. TL;DR don't hold your breath for a good matchmaking system.

Edit: Looks like it might be a server backlog issue and will just show up in several days?

1) Is there any way to get into a competitive matchmaking? * Because it seems that the people on my team are just picking up the game and go 0-24 or disconnect. 2) are there ranks in the matchmaking of dota2? Like in SC2 where you can be lets say gold league. platinum, masters... 3) How does the matchmaking work? Do I get paired with people from my same Ingame Level? (1) or there is a MMR/ELO system? Thanks in advance <3

Thanks in advance <3 2) There are three 'rankings': Normal, High, and Very High. They are much broader than SC2's leagues though. 3) There is a hidden MMR/ELO system that is used to determine matchmaking. Your ingame level plays no role in anything whatsoever.
