if you use Arcane Orb on TA when she has Refraction up, do you still steal INT?

Yes. Refraction only blocks damage. All other effects of abilities still apply.

I don't get earth spirit. I've seen him played dozens of times, but I still don't get his combo. How the shit do people instantly push and then pull the stones? Is there a trick? Like they kick one, it hits the enemy, and then is on its way back in what seems like .5 seconds or something. I tried it and it doesn't make sense because when you kick the stone, it travels so quickly off the screen toward the enemy that clicking on it to pull it back seems impossible. That's not what people do is it? Cause if it is, that means I reeeeaaally suck.

where are you clicking when you first kick the boulder?
es is easier now because you dont have to click on the stone anymore, you can click on the ground and the nearest stone goes there anyway. just click behind the enemy and then spam your pull at the same spot

I think you just blew my mind. I have been clicking on the stones the whole time. Maybe that's my issue lol

Last night I made a snarky comment to a rampaging OD that "good job playing OD". He said "good job not countering it."

So... how exactly should we counter him? Our problem was that it's really hard to kill him due to his astral imprisonment, which either buys him time for TP-in assist, or take one of ours out in early skirmish. (The int-stealing arcane orb and the ulti is obvious issues too, ofc).

The only choice that seems to come up was Nyx. Is there anything else?
Best or nothing.

Ghost Scepter is pretty good against OD so long as you are careful about avoiding the Ultimate. Astral Imprisonment is very unlikely to ever connect on you while ethereal (if he casts it on you directly it'll be over by the time the damage is applied to you) as are BKBs for cores who are high priority enough to be ultimate targets.

Other than that getting a good lane against him and preventing him from getting ahead are pretty important, OD doesn't have the best catch up ability.

Then of course any stuns or silences with decent initiation range can prevent astral.

The way I do it is to put the mouse cursor behind the hero I want to kick-pull, and do DDQ-click and then spam E-click in place as the stone goes past.

Even so I find I miss the kicked stone maybe 5% of the time, particularly if there are creeps or other valid pull targets in the way. Ping makes it a lot harder, too.

Anyone else have a trick?

any kind of silence is good, since it prevents him from using astral on himself
plus as long as he's silenced he can't use orb, which takes off about half his damage output right there

Can someone explain to me why we are seeing multiple Drums of Endurance on the same team in professional games? Am I crazy, or was this not a thing before perhaps a month ago? As I am writing this, the OD and Furion both built Drum after upgraded boots. I've seen this several times before during the Shanghai Major.

because it's really just the aura that doesnt stack, and it's quite a minor aura. the item still has charges, and it provides a good source of hp and mana pool. the furion buys drums cuz he can tp to a skirmish and reinforce with drums active.

for example im sure u would see multiple meks if the healing active stacked, even if the aura doesnt

Because we now actually saw a pro-game where an Aegis went to an IO:

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Wisp would actually have to be healing from it though.

Not that I've seen it done, but I see very little reason who he wouldnt be able to do that. Its a healing buff and all other healing buffs work through tether.
