One of the craziest runs I remember. Not only winning after losing Fly and s4, but they also had a number of really crazy games on the way. Was really fun to watch. N0tail probably put himself above everyone else as the most accomplished dota player with this win.

Another thing is that I've found this OG to be a fun team to watch. I was never that keen on old OG teams style wise even if they were good, but this one has been fun to follow for me. Will be interesting to see how they develop longer term

Yes I was never a fan of the old OG. Too safe, too strategic. I like this yolo style. I doubt they will be able to continue with a dominance however, but what a cinderella story.

They will be one of the TOP8 teams for sure
Just like they were before TI if you watched their qualifier games

It's an amazing meta right now, so many close games so many back and forths between the top teams

This run reminds me of DC at TI6 a lot, I hope they can prove me wrong because they sure were entertaining.

N0tail - the best enabling carry in the history of Dota arguably (Minus the TI chokes)
Into TI winning captain and support?
With all the Major wins
Pretty much the best and the most versatile player in Dota history behind Kuroky ?
He's 2nd in all time earnings now too

term

Nobody can come even close to Kuroky hands down
carry, support 3 stellar teams were built around him and he was the solo captain + drafter for most of their run
Where N0tail had a coach/player in 7mad sharing the burden with him or just Fly doing it
But I'd say he's got the 2nd GOAT in my book

Obviously it depends entirely on what criteria someone uses but for me TI and major wins (especially the old ones with TI like formats) go above everything else.

But anyway incredibly impressive to lead the team to a TI win. They did a really nice job integrating Topson's unique heroes into their drafts for example

Stellar performance by Ana, Ceb and jerax, Topson items build and game-play pretty much f**ed up the others teams, while Notail kept the team together.

Congrats to OG, and thank you for one of the best Grand-finals in dota history.

Topson has the fastest TI win over all players ?

I remember watching eu qualifiers seeing that Topson-Ana dynamic looked really natural that i thought they would go to places but i certainly didn't think they'd immediately win TI after formation lmao

Depends what you mean. He has been playing in pro tournaments for quite some time. His team SFT for example beat OG a bit less than a year ago in ESL Hamburg quals

(Wiki)ESL One/Hamburg/2017/Europe

Also he has been playing dota for a really long time apparently so he is not a guy who only started in dota 2 or anything. But of course OG was his first real break so he has been playing in top tier teams for a really short time

Watched the first 2 games last night and the last 3 early this morning. Im still in disbelief at what I watched. For me personally, the last series goes down as the best Dota I've seen so far. Im really at lost for words, that's all I have to say :D

Is one of the best underdog stories i can remember. Should make it a movie or series.

I can understand why people on expect a drop off in performance as i think they won TI on motivation and no pressure at all.
On the other hand i think this group of players is the team from TI that has most potential to grow as a team. With Topson making a bigger hero pool and them having time to practice and making new strategies.

man, im still hyped rn. i was literally jumping when they were hitting the Ancient. so happy for Notail! obviously, everyone played well so im not gonna choose an mvp. im particularly impressed with Topson though, considering it's his first LAN and it's TI (im sure no tail provided some motivational/confidence booster speech just like he did with Ana in kiev)

cant wait for the true sight

I meant since joining the team that won TI like rosterwise.

Isn't he like part of OG in a month or weeks ? Also afaik this is their first lan tournament ? Even Suma1l and GH had like half a year before winning TI.

Their entire team is anime. One returned from retirement (7mad can be considered as retirement as he was coaching), one came back after taking a break (Ana), one really untested new blood with pure potential(Topson) and the least expected to stay stayed(Jerax). And the one who took responsibility as the captain/drafter is the one who steps aside the most(plays support even playing as carry gives the farm to his other core)

Notail, Ceb and Jerax received a wake up call after Fly and S4 left, in one interview, Jerax said that the team should stay together until after TI, well you know what happened a week or two later.

As for Ana, he is hand down one of the best player in the circuit and one of the massive reason they kept winning major after Miracle left.

Topson biggest addition is the fact that he doesn't give a f**k, and do what he want, if it was any other captain, i'm not sure he will let him go meteor invoker or MK, Notail gave him freedom.

As for the biggest reason they won, they weren't under pressure as much as the other teams were,or more precisely they dealt with it better, to do something that was never seen in Dota before is a prof. and of course Ana close to flawless play.

Edit: i suck at Quoting people.

ok, after rewatching highlights - ive decided my mvp vote goes to ana because of that clutch play where he sold items/grabbed the bounty to secure buyback
