Congrats guys! Well deserved.

I've just finished watching the replays,

Lanm was unbelievable.

just because old chicken is the drafter doesnt mean that lanm does not influence certain picks (lc, pugna come to mind). i feel like they wanted to share responsibility to keep the team calm

I also feel that's the reason. Lanm is a brilliant drafter, but he has some consistency issues and he's talked about how stressful it is to draft before. If oldchicken can continue to take that weight off his shoulders while still incorporating all Lanm's crazy ideas, that's really good news for Ehome.

Lanm's individual play was also noticeably more impressive than before. It's possible that's just because he got to play some of his favourite heroes (that Lion build!), but it doesn't seem too far-fetched to connect it to not having to draft anymore. He completely styled over a lot of games.

Ma boy CTY.

long time no see.

I knew you were gonna make it eventually and become on par with Sylar-Burning someday. I still remember that 1v1 tournament damn.

also the 2 new players look awesome and lamn's a boss.

Kaka has been good for a while now, he just chokes sometimes but he has been performing really well for months.

Ehome kind of reminded me of Alliance at Starladder. They had an up and down group stage followed by a dominating playoff run.

They were playing with a standin for most of the groupstages though. The only groupstage loss with CTY was the game vs LGD.

CTY carried so hard in the last game , that mind-game shotgun on Universe tho, PPD graved RTZ thinking he would shotgun him instead of Universe. Man , that was the play

I'd argue CTY's currently far better than both individually. Both Sylar and Burning have their own strengths, but it was never CTY's "outplay" ability. Sylar had his consistent farm and teamfights, while Burning had that ungodly intuition and decision-making, be it in items or movement. All of them are equal farmers, though I'd give the edge to Burning when farming from behind.

I just saw the highlights vs MVP. Oldchicken is actually such a terrible mid. I mean I know he is no miracle/430, but that was outright disgusting plays by him.

Still if a shit mid is what works for Ehome, then so be it :D

Interview with ehome manager 71. He talks about chinese underperformance at the Shanghai Major and the two new ehome players.

The worrying thing about this interview is that it implies 71 ignored his team's suggestions and chose icex3/fenrir without consulting the other 3. I'm going to cheer for this team no matter what, but I hope they're actually motivated to play with each other. A lot of question marks right now.

From the interview, it will appear that 71 chose ice3 and fenrir because of their workrate. 71 may have overruled his players choices due to their workrate.

Maybe it is time for the Chinese teams to have an incentive based contract to make them work harder. Low base pay plus high commission rates worked wonders for other industries with regards to "low effort" workers when effort cant be seen.

The youth team development is a bit worrisome too. I quote from the interview above "71: These two youth teams haven't been as strong in performances as last year, and the two coaches for these teams have met some issues in terms of player development. But within the teams there are still two pretty good players."

2 teams, 10 players and only 2 pretty good players. What are the other 8 players doing then?
