I have been impressed by the new editions so far. Ramzes can already both be lane dominator that goes ganking and makes space, or play the more CD based heroes like Tide or Enigma.
Abed seems to be very flexible to his role, can either be space maker or more utility or carry.
For me the problems seems like draft and some in game shot calling, hope it can improve with more time together, but feel the team had these problems in last edition as well.

Ok EG looked so good today holy shit.

Ramzessss, wow i did not think the move at the start was the best option or more that it was a big gamble, however seeing them today and the social media around this tournament that has come they are all together. Ramzes knowledge helping out in drafts quite clear too and his gameplay is so good its great to watch so far. Just very impressed with him, and of course everyone else is also playing well, just singling out Ramzess

Wasn't the best of series from EG but they still had win conditions there and are playing differently though, questionable to let VG have nightstalker game 3 though, very questionable.

Give them some time... They can already dominate anyone they play.
They just need more time and grind. I wish we won it, but I accept the effort, they are improving.

PS: Tere is a new patch coming anyday now, this might change everything again, letts see how things go.

First tournament with this lineup, no bootcamp, possible health issues (re: arteezy wearing the mask prior to one game), etc. etc.

As long as the team environment is good, there's a lot of room to do better. In particular they seemed to be on different pages in-game a number of times, with obvious bad results (from half-taken engagements especially). Maybe someone will emerge as the full-time shotcaller and fix all that

This is and isn't a good measuring stick, even more so in Esports. With the amount of transfers and movement saying because x team were not there making it worse off is irrelevant. Nisha the new mid in a new role for Secret might struggle period, ex Liquid stack not even picking up anywhere right now who knows what they are doing, and they only looked good at TI last season. PSG.LGD always looked good but seem beatable always then outside that you get the completely unpredictable OG who again were woeful until literally 6 weeks before TI lol. Then add in other sports and just because you won last year does not mean you can win this year when other teams change and such.

I think its a good start to the season for them and now a new patch inc and hopefully they can improve and take the next one, but the goal is always TI unless they really do struggle in tournaments which i don't see happening on the basis of what we just saw.

Ramzes, rtz and fly are pretty good in new patches. They pick up the early hot stuff quite easily. Excited to see them explore them changes

Dominating performances against NiP and FP, Major secured. They already look much more coherent than at the last Major, hopefully with a proper bootcamp they can patch up their weaknesses and figure out good strats.

I'll also add that while I loved watching the King play, I really enjoy watching Abed, he's so active on the map and does much less afk farming than Sumail, at least that's the impression I'm getting from the recent games.

I missed the series they lost to FP, but it still seems like the weak point is taking bad engagements 1-2 times per game that result in losses or 10-20 mins of extra chances for the other team.

Some of that is unavoidable but some should clearly be fixed over time.

Also EG is playing next week in the Singapore tournament. Group stage starts Dec 17!
