GGA contracts don't allow players to leave of their own accord, both him and Zai had to have been kicked.
If players simply don't want to play together anymore, it really doesn't make sense for a team to force the contract (if that would be possible) and either force the players to play together or have the players on the bench not playing.

Yeah, in practice those kinds of clauses (especially in "lesser" industries) don't really stop people from leaving, but they at least stop them from pulling a surprise exit, and sometimes make sure that the teams they leave get some compensation in return.
If anyone really wanted to leave GGA, I doubt any of them could actually be stopped by the organization...but they'd actually have to come forward and say that they want to leave.

Never thought Arteezy was that important for EG.

It's unreal comparing his movements as Lycan to Fear's this game. Sumali has been good imo but I feel like Universe has been the worst player today so far.

I feel the draft is the biggest problem. With RTZ they always had a better late game with his hero pool and playstyle. Now they draft around the mid game they just arent as good in the mid game as their late game decision making IMO.

They need more then one carry and not rely on 4 ult cooldowns and be helpless without them.
|
Aui was worse than Universe. They didn't look too terrible in the last series, hopefully they are finding their sea legs.

Yeah you can tell by his dotabuff that Fear has been practicing Lycan for a few days straight. Part of the problem is apparently this all came suddenly for them (Arteezy and Zai leaving), so they're definitely going to need some time to cover the holes of certain heroes.

They showed flashes of what this team can be. I agree that some of the games they lost, were lost in the drafting phase.
|
I for one is not concerned, i dont think they care to much about first place in D2L... Its theier first games together on LAN. They prolly dont got more then max 20 scrims together as a whole, against NA opposition? They need some time, also RTZ did, and he became a monster. If it aint better after say 1-2 months, ill start to get a bit concerned :D

EG did fine yesterday. Drafts are really sketchy but they usually are in new patches for EG. The losses vs LV were just really bad drafts with some positioning errors from Aui. (<3 you Aui no hate)
People should get off sumail's ass - he played fine yesterday and did better on ember than RTZ ever would. The hero couldn't match that lineup late game. I'm convinced people just look at a box score on a browser and write their own story instead of actually watching games.
I don't think EG will win this tournament, but given some time, ppd usually finds a niche for a meta that his players can fit into.

I can see signs of the old S A D B O Y S in these 5. Funny how the first bo3 sadboys played last year was 2-0 stomp by TL and look how EG became the best western team the rest of the year after practice and time.

It's amazing what practice and the actual desire to play together can do.
