Or maybe this year the teams are just stronger. Competition gets harder all the time. But so far results wise they aren't that far-off as compared to last-year as they still do hover on the top 8 alot which liquid did last year(they didn't win all the time).

Liquid has only done well in non-DPC tournaments this season. At more prestigious events their results are: failed to qualify, 7th/8th with a standin, and joint last. Compared to last season where they were top 4 at every event, that's a pretty stark difference

Also: War Groove is a lot of fun. There are some design issues that lead to poor pacing, like dull turns where you are just setting up for the engagement and some steam rolling issues. Most of these are caused making the objective destroying the enemy base completely(in this case one building across the map). It makes me long for the days of Company of Heroes, where I scrapped over objectives in the center of the map. But then I remember all the problems with Company of Heroes, like the fact that you had to build production buildings for some reason. Maybe I should just embrace my bullshit and get into Steel Division 2....

Boy this game has lots of flaws, I tell ya, but it's potential and the amazing work by the devs, the stunning visuals, I'm really happy I bought it. It's gonna be a fine addition to the library in 6 months time when most game and fun breaking bugs are weeded out.
