I wouldn't know if it's as simple as which store takes a smaller cut. Actually maybe not. If Fortnite is on the store I suspect they could get a lot of users. Too lazy to look up populations though. If it wasn't for fortnite being installed on millions of comps I doubt they would have launched their own storefront It is 125 million users vs 125 million users. The fortnite player base is about the size of steam's user base.(Assume we believe both of these very large companies)

When I was studying in Oxford last April + Show Spoiler +I was only there for a month so this isn't a humblebrag + Show Spoiler +but I did get A's SIKE it is a humblebrag I was amazed to see vendors literally selling fortnite swag in the middle of the streets
The cultural penetration of fortnite is approaching Harry Potter levels

Those numbers seem off. 125 million registered users for a sytem with 20 million concurrent users doesn't seem likely (and this is one number that is public information). Hard to believe 15% of all registered users from more than a decade of steam logged on at the same time.
Fortnite claims 10 million concurrent and 200 users for a comparison, and it's a much younger system. That's also including consoles, I would be surprised if more than half were on PC.

I don't know man, they are all numbers that are put out there by companies trying to push how big their numbers are. The only thing I know for sure is that Fortnite has the younger audience.

so i kinda almost cut my pinky off (chunk of the nail and maybe halfway through the fingertip), interesting experience but now it's all bandaged up and stuff hopefully it'll heal completely in a couple of weeks but i feel like changing the bandaging's gonna be a massive pain, paging firebolt for any tips

I did something similar to my left middle finger in the kitchen a few years ago. It will heal quicker than you think.
|
i should certainly hope so, but at least nothing needed to be amputated tho i suspect i'll have to do something about my fingernail

Numbers make perfect sense to me. Being logged into steam doesn't even mean you're actively at your computer, while I'm assuming most people close Fortnite when they're done with it

https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/apype9/german_streamer_viewbotting/
saw this and also saw he posted so i browsed his post history
hes sort of a dick and either randomly bashes people for things (post about someone happy they got immortal he shits on them) or calls virtually everyone an account buyer/boosted
he also types "omegalul" or some other twitch meme a lot whenever he just blatantly says something douchey like it somehow cancels out what he said or makes him superior
why *does* he have a liquipedia page? ive won more tournies than him and ive never thought of making one lol

Definitely sympathetic to people who aren't initiated to the giga-irony internet. It's just so funny to see one of those guys get dunked on by Chelsea Clinton

When I finish this trip I'll have spent more time abroad than home in 2019 lol. I've climbed on 3 continents this year! Neat.
Japan was good. Next time I travel alone I'll do something things differently. I ate a TON of fancy meals and they were really good (I ate at Sushi Yoshitake and Sushi Masuda which are both v fancy small sushi counter restaurants) but I didn't realize how much "enjoying food with others" is a big part of my enjoyment of very good food. I don't mind eating alone at all but it would have been nice to have someone to enjoy the food with. So the point is I liked hiking (particularly Mt. Inari) a lot more than eating alone and would do more of that if I traveled alone again. Although I woulda had someone to travel with if I hadn't slept with my coworker so.
ANyway I'll do a proper writeup of the trip later.
