A: Knowing there the 8 pm UPS pick up drop box is in town so we can file something super late. B: Convincing the support staff to let me us the auto mail machine so I can stamp some envelopes for a late filing. C: Cold calling people at a clients office until I find someone who is willing to help me find someone to help me. D: Convincing an inhouse counsel that we are dealing with a district court and our motion for reconsideration doesn't have to be beautiful, it just needs to be filed timely. E: Finding the obscure civil process rule that governs the tolling of appeal periods when filing a motion for reconsideration F: Finding the equally obscure summary process rule that references the civil process rule and says "Nope" G: Convincing inhouse counsel that we ask for forgiveness in district court, not permission. And somewhere in there I drafted a motion too. Today sucked. | ||
