Colorado seems to be operating on a much older system of goverment due to the large amount of unincorporated land in the state. The still elect all their goverment officials by county. For our EU folks, those are sections of rural states that lack the population to be a town. They can make up huge parts of fly over country in the US and seem like Moon Goverment to people from New England.

That last one has to be about forced labor in prisons, right? I have to assume that is the reason it is on the ballot.
Also, there are so many campaign finance reform ballot measures up for a vote right now. It is impressive.

The posts i have seen on the world wide web seems heavily, like 99% voting democrat, will these elections be that much of a wash for the dems or am i just in a very left side of the internet?

The latter. All signs point to the Democrats doing well, but its going to be a long day. Hopefully they sweep the House and pick up a huge majority. But the governors races are the part I care about most. They will set the stage for redistricting in 2020. Democrats might pick of 12 of those, which would be huge.

Yeah, the real GOP strongholds are on Facebook, Fox news, and brietbart. Places younger americans hang out are almost always very liberal/left. If millennials voted in the same proportion as the elderly, it'd be some absurd +30 point Democrat blowout, but they don't (millennials are the largest voting group and are something like 60-70% favoring democrats).
